My husband left me after 22 years for a younger woman ...I was devastated, i lost my career, our house, and i was suicidal...but thank you Lord you blessed me with friends who supported me in my agony of despair....this song embodies what i felt then...now 16 years later i am still alive and I know God is using me for His purpose.I taught my first Bible study about God's sovereignty and i was overwhelmed by His revelation.We all have a purpose for His glory.
How strong you have to be to have made it through that heartache and still be standing strong as a woman of God today! I am so sorry for all you msut have endured through that, but I am sure God knew the plans He had for you and has used every bit of your pain for a greater good. I hope you have all the love and happiness he intends for you now!
God had different plans for you. Sometimes he prunes away dead branch or cuts away rust anchors. Keeping the faith through the storm can be difficult. I’m going through the same thing. I keep asking the Lord to hold my hand and walk me through this storm. God bless and great testimony

My wife tried to get me to listen to this about 2 years ago when i battled a drug addiction, I refused. Now i listen to it with all my heart and cry. Its been 1 week 1 day and a couple hours since I've seen my wife or kids. I pray that you can heal my wife and bring her heart back to you God!

Many people influence us in our life, especially our family.
Coming from a dysfunctional family myself, I had a distorted view of what love was supposed to look like.
But I learnt to forgive when I met Jesus and now I know that true forgiveness and true love exists.
Being open to love someone and to be loved takes courage because we are vulnerable to be hurt again.
But we were made to love and love others and without love, we are empty.
Count your blessings today julien, forgive those who hurt you and open your heart to love again.

We are what we think we are.
If we always dwell on the negative we miss opportunities to be blessed in so many ways.
These are hard times julien, and everyone I know is going through something.
I've been separated from my wife for over 4 years and trying to raise two young children.
At times, I'm very lonely, but this experience has brought me closer to God and has taught me to be grateful for what I do have and not to complain about what I don't have.
The most thing I'm grateful for is my salvation because I know it doesn't matter what happens, nothing can separate me from God.

I used to listen to anti christ death metal music, then I evolved and became atheist a big follower of science, and with sociology as my passion. I have learned so much but I have never felt such joy, love, satisfaction as the day Jesus Christ came to me. My life is in his hands, everything is written. There is nothing no satanic, atheist can tell me tell me that will change my belief, but there is alot I can say of the power of love Jesus gives us.

I recently walked away from my marriage out of frustration. I realize now that although I blamed her for the things she did to me, I really didn't fight and pray for her like a husband should. It doesn’t cover it.” I say this with love, not to make you feel bad. I made some awful choices in the past and I’m also having trouble letting go. It’s so easy to hold on. ♥️♥️♥️

I'm only 17...I'm going into ministry...I want to follow God for the rest of my life...whatever he wants...He'll eventually be sending me a helpmate...in other words...a wife. Someone to come along side me if I am to pastor a church...it's scary...I'm not strong enough to lead a wife...but through God...I can do it...I will stay on my face before God...father lead me to lead others.

I've been married 7 wonderful years and I often suck as a leader, but......I have a wife who is strong AND humble enough to WANT me to lead her (even though she can truly "do it all" without any of my help) AND to give me tips on how to lead her better.
We pretty much submit to each other. It's not a perfect thing as we are both imperfect humans, but we do our best and as long as we both remain humble and receptive to each other's input, we can rock this marriage like no one's business!
My beloved son passed away last month and I have joy knowing his faith in Christ. He was paralyzed from his head down for 10 years 4 months and never lost his faith in Christ. I miss him very much and I'm looking forward to meet again to praise Christ together.
This music touched me in a different way... when my husband was diagnosed with cancer and had the surgery, we had this song the whole time.. praying to God that he'll make it... but God has called him to be with Him. I will never get tired of listening to this music.

Yes it is a man's place to lead his home however, it is a woman's place to be lead by not only her husband but God and to support her husband. We all have our place and I pray everyday that I can be still long enough and listen to where leads me and my husband and that I can stand up when he can't for it takes us both to lead our three kids in this Godless world we have today. This song is AWESOME!! At first I thought it was about God. I heard it on 93.3 the joy fm, but then I listened to the lyrics and realize the 1st two time the chorus is played is his wife talking to him, and then his kids talking to him. Then the last chorus is him talking to God. I absolutely love it!!! GREAT SONG!

God leads us through the hardest of times
I don't know why it has taken me so much time to write this because I've certainly intended to for some time.
I am preparing a playlist for a dear friend of mine who is struggling with life right now and this song is one I selected for the playlist which is nearing 100 songs as I build it daily.
I heard this song for the first time the morning it premiered on either Air1 Radio or Klove. I was living near Oklahoma City at the time.
I was coming off of a year long bout with alcohor and meth at the time.
In 2007 I was on top of the world. I was the associate pastor for a church in Madill, Oklahoma. I was the drummer in the praise and worship team and even played on the National Day of Prayer worship team and had for several years.
Our church suffered a spiritual warfare attack and many of us were not prepaired for that. In October of 2007 my father died unexpectedly. In June of 2008 I lost a fiance. I was struggling to make house payments. In March of 2009 my mother went into the hospital for colon cancer surgery. She died on April 25.
I lost it.
I had been dating a girl at that time and I ran her off as well as ran all my friends off. I began drinking a half gallon of whiskey a day. In September I was notified my house would be going into foreclosure. In November I lost my job with a law firm when I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and got stopped in a vehicle with a couple that had drugs on them. They would not admit to knowledge of the drugs so we all got charged.
Finally I had enough of that life on February 22, 2010 and I called out to my best friend in Yukon, Oklahoma for help. I lefq my hometown that night.
I began volunteering at a church because I wasn't ready to work yet. Even though I am blind I have worked most of my adult life but at that time my attention span was gone, my motivation ... gone. My hope ... gone.
But I began to recover and every day was better than the last.
It was a cold Monday morning in March and I was riding to the church with my best friend's wife when this song came on.
And I just cried because it effected me so eeply.
I had failed to lead. I had failed miserably but I knew if Sanctus Real could sing about that failure in a song then I could do better in my life.
I'm happy to say my life is a complete opposite of what it was then.
Though I've had storms in my life and storms a-plenty, I've never failed to turn to God during those times and plead for him to Lead Me."

Almost exactly one year ago, I prayed for God to lead me to people's hearts who needed a friend. He led me to sit with people who were sitting alone during lunch at my school. He has started a burning fire in my heart for the lonely and there is nothing that will stop me from shining the love of Christ and reaching out to the people around me! It's not all about our own little world and I am ready to start a revolution with the greatest hero by my side, and that is the wonderful Jesus Christ! :D

In my 2 years of marriage I am grateful for a loving wife that had patience with me and forgiveness towards my foolishness. I recently decided to give my life fully to Christ and this song is living testimony. I needed Him to lead me so I can lead my wife and kids. These past months have been wonderful. i like to think of this song as how i am. I have studies to take care of at my university, my mom is ill and partially blind was diabetes, and dialysis she has been ill since 2010. I have to take care of the house since my dad is the only one working, and i have pups (i like to think of them as my kids and im a single mom to them). I have to keep going since i have had to do all these things since i was 14 (except for the studies until summer 2015) life is hard and i pray the lord helps me to keep myself together, and keep on moving. i hope he continues to lead me, and lead me to success.

this song, it was a very meaningful one for my mom. She went through hell with my dad, after their divorce she told me that this was the song she could barely listen to because they were both christians but instead of walking closer to God together, they walked farther from him. Thus their marriage just went downhill and things were an absolute mess in the end. My dad needed this song during their marriage and I wish he would have stepped up to who God told him he could be and saved my parents marriage. To anyone out there struggling with ur marriage, no matter how to tough things may be, your marriage is worth it. Think about all the good that could come from it, God can fix it if you let go of your pride and set your differences aside. If you love something you fight for it, God called us to be fighters so fight for your marriage;. This world already has enough broken, destroyed families and God didnt intend it to be this way. I left an abusive marriage after 23 years. I have been away for 4 years. Suicidal in hospital etc. I’m still scared. Last year I found a man who loves me and I love him. Now my ex will not let us see my autistic son who is 21 but I can talk to him on the phone. He still needs me. I was also diagnosed with autism at at 48. my husband left, and took my heart with him. I have no idea if he still loves me, and the brokenness of him. i have not seen him in over 2.5 weeks nor talked to him. i want to send this song to him and tell him this is what I need, but he thinks i am being selfish. I pray that God will work into his heart, that the Holy Spirit is bonding them two towards each other. He is leaving to Ca for a month and i will not have my chance to say good bye. We had to see our pastor due to a crisis we had in the marriage, our pastor told us our life looked good from outside, but all he saw were two broken people who had hidden many things under the carpet for years. Since then, we listened to his recommendation by focusing to build our family upon God, not careers and self achievement. This song truly awakens me again of how we should live our life in God's lead, and we can't do that without Him.
I stumbled across this song and man the waterworks started, I can remember that my now ex wife hated when I played this song. I think it struck a chord with her and she didn't like that feeling. Our Marriage was destroyed by infidelity. I gave and tried everything and leaned on my religion and God for clarity and understanding but nothing seemed to help. A bit over 2 years since I packed my suitcase and not a day goes by that I dont think of her and what she did to me. I know no one cares but coming back to this song I remembered how much she disliked it and I couldn't understand why at that time but I guess it makes sense now.

My husband went through the same situation before he met me. when i met him he had been divorced for 5 years already. but he tells me how difficult it was but he never turn away from God. He had to leave the house since his ex-wife brought someone to the housr. my husband just kept on going with his life after trying everything with his ex-wife. it wasnt easy for him but only in God he found his comfort and understanding of everything.
He's a Godly man and i am so grateful to God that we met. hes a great man and im sure what he went through just made him a better man. God has control of everything. just keep trusting him and believe me, he has great things in store for you.

About 7 years ago I also lost a loved one. My grandma was diagnosed with pneumonia and she suffered from memory loss. She was only 72. That was the first time I had ever heard my grandpa cry. Still to this day I miss her. I have a heart chain around my neck that is a symbol of my late grandma. Miss you and love you so grandma!!!!!
