I never wanted this one to end. I've listened to 100s of episodes of you guys. This one takes the cake. Jesse was the perfect combination of INCREDIBLE life and business advice. I'm halfway through Living With Seal after finishing this episode two days ago. Bring Jesse back for more!
This is the best story teller in the history of the pod!!! I’m a calculated finance guy, who rarely comments on anything, but at 28th minute I’ve dropped a few tears… an incredible, heartwarming, entrepreneurial story. Thank you for sharing Jesse, I’ll remember this for years and I hope to have an honour to meet you one day.
I interviewed Jesse's wife Sara Blakely back in 2005 on my Sirius radio show about female entrepreneurs. She was incredible - so smart, so funny, and really courageous. We talked for an hour about how she launched Spanx, and she told amazing story after story. Listening to this episode, I was really happy to find out she met a man as bold and brilliant as she is! I'd love to hear her on MFM.
This show is why I listen to MFM right when it is released. Great stories, great inspiration and great ideas. “How’s that for an answer?!” Sam shutdown, lol.
An incredible episode with Jesse, a true luminary in his field. His wealth of knowledge and impressive track record are truly inspiring. The stories shared in this episode are nothing short of exceptional, from his unwavering loyalty that became evident after just 37 minutes, to the captivating account of how he orchestrated a pivotal meeting with NetJets. One remarkable highlight was how he seized an impromptu opportunity by purchasing all the muffins for his first sale for Marquis Jets. Jesse's three golden rules - compliment, congratulate, and consult - are invaluable takeaways that I'll carry with me. Sam and Shaan, I've noticed that the prep doc you share with your guests are piling with innovative startup ideas which never see the day of light. Given the time constraints during the episodes, I propose a brilliant idea of creating a shared spreadsheet to compile all these ideas. This way, your listeners can peruse the list, and by year-end, you'll have amassed a treasure ideas. Thanks for the fantastic content!
That was awesome. I love Jesse Itzler! His passion and energy is fantastic. Great interview. I have a rarely make it through an entire podcast episode in one sitting, but this conversation was engaging and candid. No fluff just straight talk which I thought was great. Thank you. Best of you to you two as you continue the journey!
Thank you Shaan and Sam, I have been waiting for this one to drop!!! Jesse is one of my heroes. There are so many nuggets, I know I will listen to this over and over. If Jesse (iron man) will do it, I will do it. 'I will" do the Iron Man...NOT 'I can.👊 (Shaan is hilarious....I will take out the trash)
Shaan- I was the somebody who connected . This summer when you mentioned y'all wanting to connect with Jesse- I said "Jesse check this out- you need to go on this pod "
Ok, one of my favorite eps. Sam and the burn question. But Jesse had me in tears towards the end. Texted a few old friends before this comment. Sam / Shaan keep doing what you do best. This was awesome!
I learned as a distance runner runner something that stuck with me since i realized it in my teens, and it has been profound. Its this... The pain never gets worse. In my head, those words came this guy.
Jesse gave a talk at Northwestern Mutual in July. I’ve been affiliated with Northwestern Mutual for 29 years. By far, the best talk I’ve ever witnessed. Amazing story. Truly an inspiration. Great American and a great man.
The sheer VALUE packed into this episode puts MBA programs to shame. Inspiring!! Jesse’s stories bring me back to the 90’s hustle days! Love his ingenuity and personal approach. 🎯💯
@Shaan a magical moment at 1:18. Reading the field. Calling the play. Stroking the ego. Hitting the shot. This is why you are the pitch master “Who’s your hero now”
As a fellow podcaster and someone who listens to MFM, Acquired, Earn Your Leisure and other podcast, this is one of my favorite interviews I’ve ever heard! The storytelling, business lessons, and philosophies about life are unmatched. Great job guys!
What a personality man, awesome. Btw, on 55:27 Shaan's expression to hear from Jesse about 'vip back door into a commercial aeroplane' were sooo lit. I could see his curiosity, never see before on the pod😂
Wow the 300 mini adventures is life changing!!!! As a father of four I'm behind but now I know what to prioritize the weekend for my kids for their memories and my Legacy!!!
1:15:00 . my mom died last year and there are people I've known for 20+ years that said nothing. It's true, I will never get over that. You certainly learn who really cares about you.
"keep the money warm" 😂😂..shout out to Sam for asking the questions on personal finance and Shaan for requesting new ideas, what we wanna hear and what makes MFM unique.
42:24 This shows his attention to minute details in customer service, He went extra mile to leave a memorable experience to his clients family. Great Customer service always gets rewarded either in the form of referrals & Financial returns in the long run. Even though he applied same strategy, not all projects ( big calendar, running groups etc) didn't turn out to be success, that's part of business.Extraordinary guy 🙏 Watched full episode in 1 sitting @MFM - You might want to host an in person conferences with all your guests at one place or May be a online version might also be of great value. Because all your audience might not qualify to get into Hampton while they are building first time.
After Jesse makes the “keep the money warm, Shaan” joke (and it cuts back to Jesse) you can tell he was in the zone. Leaned back like the godfather, brain firing on all cylinders, he was ready to start his new business 😂🤣
Shaan & Sam. I would never have known about these amazing & inspiring people if not for your podcast. I'm sincerely indebted to both of you! Thank you for all these amazing interviews 🎉❤
Definitely top of your podcast interviews. This is what the people want😁. "Misogi" Jesse's up in your face reality when it comes to life's ticking clock. No amount of money or how much you burn matters when you can't wind that cucko clock anymore. And Spanx for having Jesse on to share his life stories.
I love the 'will' and 'can' discussion. So profound yet so simple.
Dude is a bullshitter. He said he had a Arod come up to knock on the door while with Coca Cola to close the deal. Now it’s Matt damen 🤦♂️
