This guy says to always adjust your valves with the engine hot. This contradicts every set of instructions I've read (usually says the engine needs to be stone cold!) Though he seems to know what he's doing, so which is correct??
`This guy` says to always adjust the valve when the engine is cold!! 5 min. into this little film he says that the engine has to be cold, and that the engine hasn´t run in 20 years...
FINALLY SOMEBODY EXPLAINED IT THE RIGHT WAY. THANKS JOHN.
Recently purchased a Midget. I find Johns videos very informative. I just love his passion and reaching ability.
Thanks John. I have read how to do this but there is no substitute for seeing it actually done correctly.
Love this guy and his passion for the marque!
Great job! thanks for spending the time to teach.
You my friend... "ROCK"! Thanks so much!
different engines different setting. just make sure that the specs you use are for hot or cold engine. hot specs are usually smaller.
We know metal expands when hot so the size when hot is the actual. The Haynes manual indicates to adjust when hot as well.
Wow.....nice and easy method!
5:05 - "Should always adjust the valves hot. This engine hasn't run in 20 years so it isn't hot."
