If you are coming by train, you need to visit Fortkochi and Mattanchery. It is just 10KM drive from Ernakulam railway station. Around 40KM from the airport if you coming by flight. Fortkochi and Mattanchery are the 2 places that you don't want to miss out in Kerala. Lots of historical places like first Church in India, first synagogue in the commonwealth nations. the spice market in mattanchery, Historical buildings by the Dutch, Portuguese and British, Chinese fishing nets and many more.
