My adventure began with an exclusive stay aboard a traditional Kerala houseboat. At just 7000 rupees, I enjoyed a luxurious overnight experience complete with delectable local cuisine. Day 2: Exploring Alleppey’s Charms
I started the second day with a check-in at Lemon Dew Beach House, a charming beachfront accommodation that promises the soothing sounds of the waves and stunning ocean views. After a hearty breakfast, I headed to Alleppey Beach to soak in the sun and witness the vibrant local life.
Catamaran Cafe Brunch

Shikara Ride and Toddy Tasting
In the afternoon, I decided to explore the backwaters once more, this time on a shikara boat. The experience was nothing short of magical, and I even tried Toddy, a traditional local drink, adding a touch of authenticity to my journey.

Should one book a houseboat before hand pre booking or direct after reaching allepey.. What is recommended
I think it’s wise to book it in advance to avoid any last minute delays and confusion.

Thank you for the appreciation Sanket, so if you want to explore backwaters then shikara is better and if you want experience staying in houseboat with bit of backwaters, houseboat experience is only limited to staying in houseboat,shikara will take you to small lanes of backwaters but houseboat take you through big lanes.
Very informative video.. same question is from me also. I heard houseboat is overrated. We are getting houseboat for more than 10k for overnight. Is it worth going? Or we can go for Shikara
Hi @kavita04singh 10k is way too much for a houseboat experience but if you are only interested for n backwater go for shikara, if you want to experience houseboat then look it in this way:
Hotel for 1 night-2000/-
Shikara-around 2000/-
3 meal for 2 person-around 2000/-
So if you get houseboat for 7k then it’s fine otherwise go for shikhara.
You can call Jayan i have provided the number in the video for shikara as well as for houseboat.

You can go to shikara anytime for light house go in the evening

First of all Nothing on this channel is fake bro, I have mentioned the boat name at 8:07 thousand of people went with Jayan on my recommendation, if you think he is genuine then you should go with him otherwise there are thousands of houseboat from which you can choose. Have a wonderful trip.
