Hey Tanya! Wonderful to see you in Alleppey(Alapuzha) again and exploring the inner areas of the place. You had mentioned the flood barriers; there's a back story about them (in Kuttanad). You should find the ballads on them, very interesting. It's best to hear them from the locals - find out on your next trip. The video and narration was excellent. Looking forward to episode 2. ( pointer - you dined in a banana leaf placed in the opposite direction, the tip of the leaf has to be on the left hand side. I guess the host also had no clue about this either.)
Thank you for this vlog Tanya. In fact I shifted to Kerala in March 2020 and to my bad luck I could not explore any near by areas (since then the lockdown are imposed here and there). I got to know about your channel through one of my colleague who follows your vlog and herself is a travel enthusiast. I feel like it's not a vlog, it's more sort of someone narrating her memories.

It is colour graded actually, but just to make the colours look naturally pleasing. 😊 Grading does not always mean that you have to change the footage altogether.

@@burlingameboys8954 I am very much aware about it! You will see many videos of some really popular creators with those yellow markers on the video progess bar but with no ads! FYI the creators/channels decide how many and at what time those ad slots will be! But in many cases no ad shows up at those yellow marks! If you do more research you will learn how brands prefer meaningful, quality & niche content than massy videos like roasts, vulgar content etc that get millions of views!

A friend and I visited Kerala in 2017 - it was awesome. We were in Varkala for a week and took one of the many beautiful boats to Alleppey and the experience was beyond I could express. The mosquitoes in Alleppey was crazy :-p :-p but I successfully ate on a banana leaf using fork and knife :-D. Then we went to Munnar for a week. And we plan to visit India after the lockdown.

Houseboats are overrated. The real beauty of Allepy can be seen through shikara ride only. I've been to the same restaurant and had the same fish fry. It's really delicious. There used to be an eagle which was domesticated by the owner and it was so friendly that it sat on my father's arm for photo. Yes the people there do travel by boats or public ferry only and when you're on the shikara and a ferry comes there's a total water jerk and you feel like swimming and sometimes it's scary that your shikara might lose control. But that never happens. Amazing place.
