He's enabled ambient occlusion. Add light layers a certain radius outside of ur replicated group in 3d position and adjust the ambient occlusion settings in ur element 3d effect settings.
Does the 3D object one not work for people now? I changed the settings and found the button on the group setting but I apply and can't see anything. Element 2.2.2 AE Cc 2019
A little late, but it's to the far right. Pull down the arrow that selects the group and all the way to the right, click the button to change it from atom shape to 3d replicator. To see the points, go to the preview window and hit the arrow next to shaded, it should show point as one of the options.
Please add the ability to place objects in the center of faces! I'd love to use this plugin for a project involving a seated crowd but since they are at vertices there's no way to align them properly!
Have you contacted support? If your GPU is supported there are solutions such as updating your drivers and installing plug-in updates. Our support can help!
idk if you mind me asking Andrew, assuming you do if I get no reply, but how much money have you guys made off the plugin so far? I will be buying it in due time :) it seems a lot easier than 3Ds Max anyway haha
How do you get the quality so realistic.. Inside element/edit scene it looks fine but actually in the comp it always looks cartoony Ive turned up the multisampling, and output/rendering settings, turned of draft textures etc.. but even with it set to full quality/final render it never looks as real or smooth as yours.. What am I missing..🤷♂️
Currently I dont think this is supported as it wouldn't know where in the face per se- with points we have uniform XYZ coordinate. And while thats true with faces - theres more involved when talking about normals and which way the faces... face. Element is a AWESOME tool- but for that you would need a full 3D program i think. Just my opinion. TL:DR- Dont think so.
Thank you. I sorted it out. I needed them at certain points so I made a weird geometry that had a point where I wanted them instead of a face. Was filling a stadium with people. Pushing the plugin to it's limits!

Can you animate the individual particles? Like have the spheres rotating. And is it possible to the import and animation of like a character walking or something that was animated in Maya as an object and use it's cycle Element 3D?
how just with the light you give like a reflection look without to use these settings? I saw in the begining was so flat and after to use red you got a better nice look
it works with OBJ sequences?. i did try, but some frames has been lost the particle replicator form, after that, particles disappear, I have a GTX780Ti, After effects doesn't have support for this GPU, can be that?
Can someone please explain me why is my object doesn't not moving/rotating while im dragging it with a mouse? It only changes position when I'm letting go the mouse button. The same is when I'm moving time indicator, video/object changes position only when im letting go a mouse.

I think this is the most worthwhile plugin to buy ever. This and particular, they would make a great double team.

Can you still use the 3d Object option in Element 2.2? The button is no longer there for assigning the object.
