I had the H8i and just bought these. I have tried many headphones over the years and IMO B and O are the best. Sound quality, presentation, and quality are fantastic. I would never buy another brand of headphones. Enjoyed the review
Have you tried the new HX or is this your general experience? I am surprised to read what you write about the ANC. All other reviews online, point out that ANC is better today than a few years ago.
@@troensvitnesbyrd Well... I used the H4 and they’re not good. My H8 has a lot of hiss and changes the sound way to much to use it. However, my recent Bose QC Earphones don’t have those issues. So, the ANC has came a little ways. But personally, sound is the most important to me. And B&O “Signature Sound” is very easy to listen too. I recommend the over ear models tho from my experience.

Just bought these, upgraded from 1st gen H4 and it is an astronomically huge difference in everything! I love this HX so much! The build quality, the look, the design, the materials and if course the sound! I like that the bass is very punchy and hits very clearly! I just love these headphones!

I get massive headaches whenever I wear this headphone. I always feel as though it is squashing my skull. I have changed the settings several times and went to the Beoplay store, yet the situation is the same. I had to abandon it for normal headphones.

H95 and h9 3rd gen were big fails. Was so disappointed. I loved the sound and the build quality, but the software/firmware, Bluetooth and connectivity issues made me return then both. Wanted to make sure I got some bad production units. I tried 3 pieces of each both h9 3rd gen and h95. Even the guy in the b&o shop was disappointed. Like imagine b&o forcing ambient mode on calls? Then getting stuck in ambient mode after the call. Resetting the headphone like 3 times to fix the issues. A few calls later, same shit again. If b&o get a serious anc instead of a joke anc on these new hx and They fix the firmware/software issues, then I would buy them again. Just for the good build quality ( apart from volume wheel on h95 complete fail, one grain of dust or sand and these will scratch your brain when moving the wheel ). Also automatic standby was broken when paired with 2 devices. Like they would turn of randomly after 1-3 mins . Definitely not acceptable for so expensive headphones.

With my B&O knowledge, I prefer the older headphones. Better sturdiness and QC. My new ones aren’t up to par with my H8 or H7.

I don't own any of the other models and have not tried them either but these are meant to be a big improvement.
Do you have to have the app in order for them to work, Or is the app optional but the headphones will still work without them.
They will work without the app but app is needed for more functionality and to update firmware.

they sound very low compard to the bowers & wilkins but had better materials so I went with b&O

Is there an option to tune the bass up so it sounds more like the NX7 if you use the app?
You can but like in the app it is a very basic dial and a proper EQ is needed for better control. Not sure about the NX7.
