thanks for reviewing this dude! would you recomend this for the price or is there anything else in the same price range youve tried that you'd recomend?
Your welcome mate👍 I think it's a good boar for the price, the only other v-hull iv had of about the same size was my Joysway Warrior, that was a bit cheaper and great for brushed. Very different boats though.
Looks like a decent brushless boat man, this one reminds me of my Feilun FT012 a bit, it's always a bit of a worry when they submarine themselves underwater for a few secs, i have a UDIRC one that does exactly that as well 😆
Yeah its not a bad boat, I still love jet boats way more for some reason🤷♂️ It is a bit scary when it goes under for longer than you expect😅 4s coming soon hopefully. Thanks for watching Dave👍
Thanks mate😁 I actually sold this one a little while ago but 100% worth getting another, great boats. And yep definitely tried 4s, it was AWESOME🤪 Check it out, hope you enjoy👇 ruclips.net/video/3cZZxRuxIY0/видео.html
I don't think taking that off would improve anything, it was a very powerful boat giving its lightweight design, more weight in the front may actually improve performance a bit🤷
@rccrazy, you're correct; the weight in front helps keep it stable. But it's still fun! And it's a little quicker because the body comes out of the water a little more.
Yeah I never really experimented with mine before I sold it and I'm not super knowledgeable when it comes to boat geometry, weight distribution and all that stuff so I could be completely wrong😬😅
@@rccrazy not a criticism, but i think the GPS might need a slightly longer time in a straight line at full throttle to register true top speed? I have the same GPS and i think it may need a little longer run.
I actually tried it again yesterday, run it the whole length of the pond and got 43kph on the stock lipo, that's ok though, all these companies over estimate the top speeds😅
Depends how you drive really but the stock battery lasts me between 10-15mins going hard on the throttle. Most 1800mah 3s lipo should fit in the battery tray, any bigger and you may need to modify the hull.
@@rccrazy is that I don't understand, can I buy it with two batteries with 1,800 mah and 2,200 mah, the 2,200 mah lasts longer and is more powerful? , here the cheapest one is costing 147 dollars, which is 785$, I saw that it is very good , I got excited , thanks for your tips, not everyone wants to help, I wanted these tips
If you have 2 batteries with the same voltage but different mah yes the bigger mah one will last longer and give a little more power. But if you want to go a lot faster you can get a 3s and 1800mah👌
Wonder if this boat would work/bind to the feilun ft012 controller? ANSWER: No. Is this a rebranded ft012? The answer is NO. I've had the ft012 for a while and just got the wl916. The outer shells are very similar. However the internals are very different. You cannot use each other's controller. ie. the protocol is different. The feilun ft012 is the better boat. It is faster, runs better and has the better controller. The wl916 was more water tight and quieter.
@@mike_t_007 You'd be happy with either one. To me the ft012 appears to be faster (especially from a standing start) and has a better controller. Also has a better cooling system so gets less hot (might last longer). It's not completely watertight and it typically takes on a tablespoon (maybe 2) of water per run. The WL916 runs a bit smoother and quieter than the ft012. It is completely watertight and does not take on any water. Also has lights which don't do much during the day. Usually costs less. I've only tried with 3s stock batteries.
Yes you can but make sure to clean it well afterwards and would be a good idea to put some grease or rust prevention spray on the metal parts because they will rust fast after being in salt water.
Not that I noticed, 5000mah cells in general are long. As I said some 3000mah 3s will fit, others will fit with mods but I very much doubt any 5000mah 2s or 3s lipo will fit as even a stumpy pack will be too tall to fit under the hatch.
I just ordered mine from the site you recomended! Banggood that is... Got this boat for 93 euro !! I hope it will not be damaged during transport.. all of these chinese sites are rather cheap but it always takes a while to be delivered and therefore the package is most of the time damaged... I also have checked out the 4s battery pack (4 pcs) you did recomend to use to get to 54 km/h 😁👍 ... But it has taken me to a European seller of these battery's .. they are around 55 euro for 4 pcs and are like 1500 mah/100? .. they are the same like you refer to on the US dealership at 1300mah if i still remember correct.. but the European dealership sells these 1500 mamp/h ones with an extra plug i think attached to the battery?? If i can add you to facebook i can send you pictures of these battery's 🤔 .. and the European dealer .. but anyway!! Very excited to get the boat in the near future!!! 😍🙏
Excellent, hope you enjoy the boat. The only thing though, the lipo I used literally got squished in the boat as it was JUST small enough to fit under the top. Hopefully the 1500mah 3s you got will not be to thick especially if I've recommended them😅
Yes I think I tried to fit a 1500 and 1800mah but they were just to thick to close the door latch. Worst thing about these RCs, they all have different size battery bays😅
@@rccrazy i have a question, i gotta be honest i only had gasoline engines on my rc and never switched a battery that did not fit the regular connection.. now 😅 i have seen a lipo 3 has 3 cell's so also to load not that much plates to connect for loading, i can load a 3s lipo with the regular standard loader cable that comes with it, now, so if i buy a 4s battery i am sure i do need to buy a more universal battery loader where i can fit other battery's yes? The connection for the boat will still be the T connection cable so i got to get myself a T plug (Deans) 4s lipo yes? I forgot if the one you did mention to buy and used in this video has the Deans plug 🤔😅 ... i have also in the meantime, the buy of a lifetime bought the WL 915 second hand for only 20 euro what is a steal 🤩😍 .. that one should go about 45 km/h so it can go like 35 km/h if you believe this 916 is doing 55 with the original 3s battery .. i hope the 915 boat can also handle the 4s battery.. problem with the WL 915 boat is that it does lets in a lot of water, a problem that is less enoying with the 916 boat 👍 .. i want to talk forever but i will not do that 🤣 .. just tell me what is difference and were to look after to use and load the 4s battery ... it is getting more expensive now 🤣🙏
Yes you will most likely need a Hobby Grade charger so you can charge any lipo you get. When it come to lipo connectors/plugs, you should be able to find a 1300mah 4s with the T/Dean's plug. But if you do buy a lipo with a different type of plug than the T/Dean's plug you just need a adapter, EVERY adapter you would need is available online. Dean's to XT60 would most likely be the one you'll need as XT60 are very common.
This one is on my list of “to gets” ln the near future! It’s a great looking and great performing boat! Great video Saul!👍🏻✌🏻💯😄
Yes for the price it's a awesome boat👌
I'm sure you'll enjoy one😁

It's definitely a Feilun FT012 clone
Yeah pretty much, few small differences but not much.
Does it have self righting? Great boat though!
Yes I does self right, it doesn't actually stay upside-down at all😅
Great vid bud looks a good bargain. Did you try 4cell yet? And have you sorted the steering out? Have 1 in my cart 😂😂👍🏼

Is it possible to install the 11.1v battery 3300mah? If not, how many mah batteries are available?
3300mah 3s is way too big, 1800mah 3s is about maximum that will fit in this boat.
Would 5000 mah lipo fit ok
Swap out your propeller to 35 mm and watch the speed control trim it up top

Can 3s 5000mah fit ok
@owen8538 no 5000mah 3s won't fit, some 3000mah 3s may fit but not many that small
