Leslie Nielsen is what made it for me! Also, Robert Hays, who plays Rick's father, is also another superhero alumni. He voiced Tony Stark in the 90s Iron Man TAS!
Honestly evenif he(was) pigeonholed in a role he almost always ended up carrying a whole move over his shoulder, what with bland jokes and not very good (or just inexperienced) co-stars. If some his latest movie are half decent is his merit only
Honestly the most consistently funny thing in the Movie is the slapstick I’ll give it that. It’s Quick, simple and while it can be juvenile it doesn’t try that hard, Like the scene where Kevin Hart gets shot in the hand by a Nail Gun non chalantly by Leslie Neilson always makes me laugh cause of how sudden it is and it’s the right amount of energy like hart really does act like he just got shot in the hand with a nail and is trying to Work through the pain and he’s not trying to make the reaction funnier or goofier he’s just letting you know he’s suffering and no one around him cares.
“The story is not for the faint of heart” is not a terrible line by a long shot. It reads like a classic 1960’s comic book and that’s the point. Peter is a very genuine and emotional kid, and combine that with the fact that he narrates to himself and it makes perfect sense.

If memory serves, not too long ago, Hawking's name and activities came up on the list of visitors to a certain island that belonged to man who died under dubious circumstances in prison.
I’d probably say that this is the best non-Scary Movie Movie movie. Sure, It has its bad stupid bad moments, but most of the visual gags are solid, the deliveries are funny enough and it’s surprisingly very laid back with its approach to reference. Still not the best but it’s definitely a lot funnier than anything made by the 2 out of the 6 writers of Scary Movie
Personally I kinda like this movie. It's a hit and miss, not as good as Scary Movie, but definitely better than some others like Disaster/Epic Movie. I give it a 6.5/10
I hate how much I think the villain for this movie or at least both the name, costume, and concept of his powers are kinda really freaking cool and even unique, but then again I don't hate this movie, it's funny, just wish the villain was used for an even better Superhero movie❤❤
