Rob, every time you review one of the GMKtec units I find myself thinking that I quite like (I'm really just showing off that I know how to spell that word) these new GMK units, despite the plastic, right up until I hear the fan when the system ramps up. It's not even that I especially dislike the sound, it's that I immediately unconsciously start checking to ensure my seatbelt is securely fastened and my tray table safely stowed, which kind of takes the fun out of it.
Just a note. Maybe it would worth to fix the name in the title and the description. It's GMKtec and not GMKtek. I searched for this review by name and the results didn't contain it.
Always wanted a RAM drive for primary storage. I got a blazing fast Samsung NVMe drive 3 years ago. Now the prices are unbelievably low. Any techie who doesn't already have primary and secondary NVMe drives should be ashamed.
Seems like a decent mini-PC, but the ports are meh and loud fan noise are annoying. Might as well go with the Intel NUC 13 Pro or Geekom IT12. Both are better for those who game on a console or don't game at all. Just using the mini-PC for work and personal web browsing.
BIOS update with fixed TPM 2.0 here: drive.google.com/drive/folders/119hU_4tFouu7Wg2fnCV7bV-CZ6WMLb8V?spm=..page_2054333.page_detail_1.1

thanks, was trying to find the screws to open it up, nice to see 2 full size nvme slots. Will make a good hypervisor node for lab or backup appliance.

Thanks. I don't know I how missed that 😓
GTA V @ 91C
Come on GMKtek! You can do better than that! Add better cooling!
Otherwise, it looks like a fine system.
Thanks for the review.
How about a benchmark for CAD software like Fusion 360. Everybody is 3D printing nowadays, so everybody is learning at least a little CAD.

Thanks for your video, it saves me for showing me how to open the case! I can’t find the instruction on their official website.
Looking forward to some Meteor Lake minis!
ASUS has one with the revised NUC 14 Pro. Single core performance got worse, but graphics got better and power draw improved a lot.
Its really load and that might be off putting to some. Why manufacturers want give bigger heatsink and rely just on fan is beyond me.
Awesome

What’s up with the 10 Mbps USB 3.2 speeds?
Fan looks tiny... or did I miss something? 🤔
That's the fan for the memory storage, not the CPU which is on the other side.
когда появяятся мини пк со 155h?
Probably in the next few months
Nice one
Intel is so far away from AMD, Forza 5 is like a standard, if it cant play it not worth owning
Intel's got nothing on these anymore
