Great video. I want to do this on my home, and this gave me some great ideas, especially about the side lites.

I need to make entrance on side wall. There is around 2 Feet difference exterior ground level and my basement stairs landing area. So i guess i need to dig around 2 feet, but how much minimum width i should keep for railing. There is total of 8 feet distance between me n my neighbour, so max i can go is 4 feet but it will leave me no space to cross over and go to my backyard. Please advise..

There’s got to be a way to improve the look of the concrete walls. 1:59 Any recommendations for finishing/paint/stucco?

There are definitely ways to do that. And I agree, everyone should do it. We did not do it on these as the owners wanted to do it later.
Plaster is the most common way to go.
Stucco also works well and allows for any color you’d like.
Painting the walls is not recommended.
