- Officers restrain two drunk men after they refuses to settle down and begin aggressively shouting at each other. One suspect begins to provoke the other inmates into fighting with me. Elsewhere, officers place a combative woman in a restraint chair and a spit mask after she hurls insults and spits at the jail officers. The suspect is placed in a isolated holding cell until she can calm down.
Jail is an American documentary reality television series that follows suspects in custody from booking through to incarceration. The show documents events in different jails across the U.S. Jail is the sister show to Cops, a show that follows police officers on patrol.

You would be amazed. I was a medic and have had big tough guys covered in tattoos and when I said I needed to start an IV they had panic attacks. I’ve had IV’s and tattoos and never acted like that.

First time I went to LV was in 1978. It was so much more fun when the old style gangs ran the entertainment. The only fear you had was crossing the wrong people in the casinos.
I can’t think of that young blonde woman cops name with the pony tail, but damn she’s awesome. I’ve seen a ton of videos of her and she’s been a great officer in every single one of them. Sweet when she can be, direct, and assertive when needed.

I totally agree. There are a couple of the officers on this show that I like, but she's the best. She can be very sweet and kind when she needs to, and firm when she needs to. She also can have the best quick responses to irate inmates with bad attitudes. Some guy can insult her and she has the best response.
They do a good job of keeping themselves and the inmates focused

A lot of these people should be glad it isn't 200 years ago. They would be locked up in bad conditions with the key thrown away.

Your head and legs were restrained with wooden boards, while you sat in the public square, at the mercy of flies and naughty children. More punishment, if needed, were applied with a "dunking" in a pool of water, repeatedly. All in God's name.

Yep its a great idea to shout about your 30thousand dollar or 30 carat watch in booking so all the "real" criminals have a target once you and them are released, giving them the funds to pay back whoever paid their bond lol.
It may be fake. Usually people with real money, you would never know. If they show it off they are nouveau riche.
There was an episode I watched recently where some trust fund kid had $50k on him or something like that in cash. He had crashed his Ferrari or something to get an officers attention

It makes no sense to most people, but in my case I hate the feeling of the needle entering the vein after that I am good. At least I will never be an H user, not that I would ever want to be.

That’s a pretty simplistic view of life. Plenty of people are raised in horribly dysfunctional families. Drugs, neglect, abuse. A little bit more than not being told no as a toddler.
The kind of behavior exhibited by the first dude would have resulted in a profound beating in Harris County (Houston) at the time this video was filmed. There was nothing gentle or patient about the guards' disposition there.
If he was smart he wouldn’t brag about the cost of that watch on national tv because if anyone sees him and knows he has it he is a target for that $30,000 watch.

I think think this episode is over 10 years old. There's no telling where they are now but more than likely they are now too old to be making the same kind of money. Being naive is typical youth but I hope nothing bad happened to either one of them and they've wised up and straightened their lives out.

As a thinking, rational, human, it’s quite clear to me, that generally speaking, most of the individuals that cross the threshold of these institutions, are exactly where they are for good reason.
That said, I like the new “encouragement” tactics to get people through “the process”. It seems to be a much calmer, more positive, gentler, method. Well done corrections!

No one who comes to jail is at their personal best. We are getting a glimpse into the absolute worst moments of these people’s lives. It’s so easy to judge, but given the right circumstances, but for the grace of God, this could be anyone of us who is watching these videos.

Sorry, you are wrong. I don't drink, I don't do drugs, I'll NEVER find myself in jail, and I've had to deal with some rough things in my life. Difference is I turned to faith and had faith in myself I would get through it. It's the choice you have to pick up that bottle or pop, smoke,shoot, it or pull up your boots and walk through the sh*t life serves you.

I've made mistakes but have the sense to know alcohol and drugs are a quick fix for the moment but make things worse in the end.. I prefer permanent, long term fixes.
