Incredible day indeed. Absolutely loved this one. Glad the clag burned off and you got those views. Stunning location as well. Definitely helped with the arrival of the helicopter!
Thanks Marcus, even without the helicopter interlude the views of the stunning Corrie would have made the day worthwhile, if you ever get the chance i suggest you head up there, maybe a great wild camp for you and Allan 😊👍🏴🏴
Really enjoyable video .That boulder field reminded me of the times when my ankle has started to go over but been saved by a good pair of boots . Loved the Helicopter and all the views ... Thanks.
Hi Paul, thanks again for watching, absolutely spot on about the boots 🥾 mate. The helicopter was just right place, right time but so glad I was, take care, Steven 😊👍🏴🏴
I’ll add another wow in for you if you don’t mind Steven! Absolutely amazing views and a wee show from a heli never ceases to amaze, fantastic! Great video mate!
Aww mate, I would gladly have paid admission just to see the Corrie but to get that and the helicopter show for free turned a day that promised so little into one of my favourite days on the hills. Hope all well with you mate, Steven 😊👍🏴🏴
You had a wee bit of everything there Steven! I had a similar day, clag then views then a stunning lunch spot at the loch. Great experience seeing the helicopter! Wow!,, 😮 Brilliant wee watch mate! Thanks for sharing! Paul
Cheers Paul and thanks for watching. Thought it was gonna be one of those days but turned out to be one of my favourite days ever in the mountains, shows how quickly things can change and talk about timing with the helicopter 🚁 Take care mate, Steven 😊👍🏴🏴
Cracking vid again Steven, glad it cleared up for you as they cliffs are just amazing. I did it clockwise and was fortunate to have snow going thru the window so it made it a bit easier. Great spot for a bit of lunch and great to get the helicopter so close. Well done again👍 ATB Frank.👍🏔🏴
Cheers Frank, it was a day that initially promised so little and eventually gave so much, just an all round amazing day, the Corrie would have been enough for me but to get the guys so close on a training exercise was the cherry 🍒 on top. Fantastic!!! Take care mate, Steven 😊👍🏴🏴
Thank you for the video. When I was away to climb Sciehallian many moons ago, a rescue chopper came very close to me, and threw out a steel box onto the Heather, while hovering about 10 ft high. Some men, looked like mountain rescue, shoved it in the back of a van. After the climb, on the road home, I heard on the wireless that a tourist had climbed to the top, got too close to the edge and fell 200 feet. Poor guy, very sad. Anyway, on a brighter note, I cannae stop watching your Aonach Eagach video. Pure class. Thanks 👍🏴
What a great video Steven! Just love how you put it all together with just the right mix of ingredients to make it so so enjoyable! Are you a good baker too? 😂 i love Creag Meagaidh too its a spectacular mountain and you have the added bonus of the stunning corrie and lochan that reveals itself on the way down. And you got a helicopter too just for extra effect! Perfect 😊 Take care oot there Theresa 😊
Hello Theresa, hope you’re well, as always yours is the comment I look forward to the most and as ever you’ve put a smile on my face. Not a baker sadly but I do make the most amazing lasagne you’ve ever tasted (he said modestly 😂) Creag Meagaidh was a day that threatened to disappoint and eventually became one of my most enjoyable and memorable days in the mountains, I would go back just to enjoy lunch again in the Corrie itself, a stunning location 😊 Take care Theresa, Steven 😊👍🏴🏴
Thanks Steven that's so nice to hear! Ahaha! I can just see you sitting by the lochan with your lasagne 😂 only downside would be the midgies . Well that and i suppose everyone who passes you wanting to know your recipe when they spot you with your yummy lasagne or even worse wanting a taste! Then you'd run out! 😳 The possibilities are endless! 😂 Take care Steven Theresa 😊
Hi mate, bloody brilliant, wow what a fantastic day you had topped off by the helicopter coming to say hello. I was beginning to think you'd called for a lift! Haha Thanks so much for sharing mate, superb. I'm out in the Lakes again on Saturday so looking forward to that. Take care mate
Hi Dave, hope you’re well, was an absolutely fantastic experience, still buzzing about it and as for the Corrie I’d have paid to see that itself. The beautiful thing was I got to see it from both above and below, just a very special day. Enjoy your day in the lakes, hope you get the weather. Take care mate, Steven 😊👍🏴🏴
stunning place, nice walking too apart from that boulder field.....i have a particular fear of boulder fields, took 2 hours to cross 500m of bramble cover boulders and voids in old kilpatrick hills, and once on arran, the devils punchbowl, i was horrified to see giant voids all around me, but the killer was i hastily stepped across a few voids onto a small car sized rock, safety i thought, but as i moved across it, it moved and slowly settled a good 10 inches in the direction i was going. just total horror moment. that heli was fantastic,
Aye boulder fields are the bane of every hill walkers life, unfortunately a necessary evil 😈 at times. The Corrie and the helicopter show were something else and made it a fantastic day, take care, Steven 😊👍🏴🏴
Great views, what a long hike though, no exercise that, they stopped for a pee, like they even stop to get something from the shop sometimes. Anyway it's certainly worth the effort to capture them views. Alas I will have to venture out on my own as no one around me likes such long hikes.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment, time flies spent in the mountains and whilst some days are tough they’re never a chore….sign up to some of the hiking/walking groups, there’s always people looking for company on the hills. Take care mate, Steven 😊👍🏴🏴
Absolutely stunning landscape!! Wow, what an experience...must have been out on exercises. Had quite a similar experience where I was on the edge of a field with Otis when a military helicopter made and emergency landing right in front of me...all I really remember is the wind and hanging on to Otis. Amazing! Hope your week has been going well...Bruce and Otis
Hi there Bruce, thanks again for watching and commenting, it was one of those days that started out not promising much but became one of my favourite ever days in the mountains. Hope all well with you and Otis, take care, Steven 😊👍🏴🏴
Brilliant video Steven. That was amazing with the helicopter. The views looked incredible. Ill need to get up their. Am going up Ben Nevis on sat. Then wild camping at glen etive at it. Well that's the plan the now.
Cheers Alan, was an amazing experience with the helicopter 🚁 but that apart it’s a cracking walk and the Corrie is stunning , from above and below. Enjoy The Ben, you doing CMD Arrete? Hopefully camping next weekend too 😉 Steven 😊😔🏴🏴
@outofayrshire143 unfortunately not doing it from CMD. Just cause of the weather forecast. But I am doing it just Ben Nevis for charity. As long as bag the big Ben am not fussed. Gives me an excuse to return on a decent day. But looking forward to the wils camp. This will be my first ever. Going with my mate who will keep me right. Good luck for next weekend. Will be taking my son up Meikle Bin soon too. Just a wee hill. Done it plenty times. But looking forward on taking him on adventures during the school holidays.
@@MyScottishAdventures I’ve never actually wild camped but looking forward to next week, enjoy The Ben and enjoy the time with your son. Your name was actually mentioned in mess room yesterday by Lewis Burns lol 😂😂 Your fame spreads far and wide 😉🤔😊
