I love the habit, but it did take me about a year to really get my head around it, and I’m using it almost exclusively to make soundscapes to improvise with. I’m not sure I’d recommend it to anyone who didn’t mostly want it for that, but it can do double tap digital delays really well (sounds similar to my dd7) and the pitch shifting sounds good too
They sound pretty good but the nightverb and new big sky are better for what I do for really long decays. Also as strange delays go the microcosm kind of ruined everything else for me.
"Sold most of my pedals“ - Continues to slap 15 pedals on table 😅 Great Info, thanks for sharing! Some of your faves are on top of my shopping list too.
Great video as usual. I just received my microcosm a few days ago and love it. It replaced my walrus fable because it is more versatile. I find myself playing with the microcosm and the time flies by.
Fire Emblem, Japanese series of hardcore RPGs (and one mobile game), had its debut outside Japan back in 2003, whereas 2019's Three Houses sold over 4 milion units for a reason.
My Fire Emblem love was off the charts when you started this - and then I got confused: who *are* these people? Then I realized, I've only just started Engage (just met Yunaka), and these are all from Engage, lol. So now I have something else to look forward to! On the topic of pedals: no drive? I know stereo overdrive is hard to come by.
You nailed the drive thing, I had a stereo fuzz and drive from source audio that was pretty good but it required an editor to really use. Also the other let down is many drives and distortions lack dry mix through which complicated poly patches. On fe engage is one of my favorites ! They finally took out weapon durability!
@@YukiTheSynthDragon I am desperately enjoying that fact, and the game in general. I was actually working on a drive pedal circuit for synths - I had some mental health stuff that completely derailed that, and now I seem to have forgotten how to solder - but that's good to hear about the blend control. That shouldn't be *too* difficult to incorporate. I think my drive circuit will probably look like: - 2x single-knob drive circuit (think EQD Arrows?) - Single-knob blend circuit (100% dry to 100% wet) - 2x single knob level circuit at the end If I do that with dual-pot knobs, this could be a 3 knob stereo pedal. I want to keep it simple at the outset, 'cause again, my circuits keep *not working* of late, haha.
@@YukiTheSynthDragonoh wow! Good to know. Been thinking about the Sloer for a while now. I think what I like about it the most is the pitch modulation and dark tone. I need to give Nightwing a look. I like Erica a lot. Wonder if it does a similar pitch modulation.
Pyramids is GOATed
Oh man thanks for the shoutout. I enjoyed seeing your tiers.

Shocked that the Mercury X or LVX haven’t made the cut!

I’m eyeballing the Artifakt … thanks for sharing!

I have no idea what game you're referencing but I'm here for it. I wish more people would use niche ranking systems.

Hope you will get your hands on the new WA-C1.
The Volante has a great SOS looper mode too. Not sure how it compares to the El Cap, but give it a try if you haven't already.
The looper is very good on the volante but it doesn’t degrade exactly the same way the el cap does.
I avoid center positive pedals just because, I never want to be setting traps for myself. Love my El Capistan
Nightverb is on my list to get, if I can find one

I'm sorry but I found the Fire Emblem rating system very confusing
What’s the background?
Some fabric I found at Joann’s
@@YukiTheSynthDragon It is epic! I love it
Oh man! Sloer is gone!
It was a great pedal but the big sky and nightverb just blow it out of the water.
