Thank you all so much for your comments, questions and ideas! It really means a lot! I'm going to read them all, but its going to take a little while with this amount 😅
I just subbed from this vid- Bro, the other way to think about this, is that you are commercialising, and those that want to be edgelordy and want you to be poor are leaving.
Don’t stress about it Wytse. And I can totally sympathise with what you say on the video about making the channel work despite all odds. It’s very hard for many people to grasp how much effort, time and money goes into making a RUclips video every week. Keep pushing man ❤
Sponsored or not I expected nothing but your complete honesty on any of the products from Temu. You always tell the brutal truth, and that will always keep me coming back.
Exactly! It makes me sad that Wytse feels the need to put out an apology. He didn’t do anything wrong. The gear demos (especially microphones) spoke for themselves. I enjoyed it. I’d like to think your average viewer would take the Temu video for what it’s worth (demos of bottom of the barrel gear) and move on. Let the man earn a living.
Temu sponsorship should speak for itself and most people should have understood that it’s…. Well, Temu😂 I now want to watch the video and feel like that was the smartest sponsorship to accept.
@@valimoormusic yes, just judge the mics. who gives a fuck if he accepted a sponsorship. its an ad for MONEY, ignore the video if it bothers u. people really do be grabbin pitchforks, and want to cancel everybody LOL.
I disagree with you when you say "It is really rightful that you are unsubscribing or that you are hating on me", losing a bit of trust because of a mistake and hating on someone are really different things, you are human and I know how hard it is to grow a channel and an audience, it is flattering to have a big brand willing to sponsor a video... Don't be too hard on yourself, no one should hate you for that decision, and it is great that you are owning your mistake, that's true emotionnal intelligence right here! Keep up the good work!
agreed. we all make mistakes sometimes, people need to have a little bit of empathy when they don't agree with someone. I personally thought it was sad for a creator whose opinion I respect, would agree to a deal like that, but it's in line what other creators are doing. I'll still be back for more content as bro knows his stuff and I learn something new every time.
Hello Wytse, I have subscribed to you now. I really appreciate your integrity and honesty. It's only natural for us as humans to strive for improvement. Let's focus on the future, not the past. All the best!
Hats off to you. We all make mistakes and you’ve owned it. Plus you do need to make money. I completely fee for you and respect this video very much. It takes a bigger person to admit their mistakes. Thank you for all the free content I’ve been enjoying ✊🏻😊❤️
You are defined by your track record and not by mistakes along the way. I was shocked to see that TEMU video. However, I was ready to overlook it. 99% excellent and objective and 1% questionable does not make a person questionable. The cancel culture approach breaks my heart. People do not understand the mental toll that comes with feeding the algorithm. My channel was doing well, but I decided to slow down. Your sanity and wellbeing come first my friend. Love you brother....
Yes, the pressure is heavy... I discovered over a decade ago, when "G****e" was changing the goal post for people to retain good ranking and earning revenues, that for many it's a loosing battle. You don't do what it is asked of you and "they" cut you down. This is what makes some people desperate things to try anything to boost their income. some people are trapped in because they have invested a lot of time and money on their channels... I value my state of mind above all.
Well done Wytze 👍 Mistakes can happen. It’s the way how you deal with it, and in my opinion you doing a great job in this video ❤ Always support you from my side 👌
I did not see your Tamu video and really don't know what it was all about. But I did watch this heartfelt apology and it seems that it was the right thing to do. Very well done! You mentioned the possibility of sponsoring a chair and that really hit home for me. I was getting headaches, a stiff neck and shoulders. I had to curtail my hours in my studio because of this. So I did a lot of research on every chair I could find, and after that I spent some serious money on a new chair. That was about a year ago and I now have zero pain. I ended up getting the X-Chair but there were many other good ones out there. I have a good Cubase friend that swears by the Aeron chairs. A good chair takes time to get used to if you were not sitting correctly before. But in the end they are well worth the money and it has really made a difference. Another thing I did was start using a trackball instead of a mouse. I think that also added to the relieving of my discomfort. So my point being, sponsoring something from a company that is essentially not in the music industry might be a good idea. And a product like a good ergonomic chair is VERY applicable to the work we do. If you like the chair, tell people about it. If the company pays you for it and you're still honest, who cares? In actuality, you're really doing us all a favor like you do with the rest of your videos.
Dude, do not stress. You are human and although your brand is primarily an unbiased, unsponsored review video channel, there is nothing wrong with it unless you acted like you weren’t sponsored. I’m sure the ones that are actually here for you and your content are more than willing to forgive you and proceed to support you moving forward with any potential sponsorships. Nothing wrong with getting kept in check, but we need to be willing to accept that, to keep the content rolling, you’ve got to be financially supported as well.
But forgive for what really? Is it just that it's a Chinese company? How many from the angry mob are commenting on Apple-gadget just mention one of a million? Let he without sin... and to be honest, not a single person here would be able to throw that politically correct stone. It's all just heavy hypocrisy!
Mistakes + Learning + Owning = Growth / Integrity / A more interesting and compassionate human being . Wytse the way you own this just speaks volumes about your character. Hope you're able to sort out the stress of this, and other things to get get back to enjoying the process. Love your videos - Mistakes are mistakes, it's the best to own it. You have! So lets find a fun snake oil plugin to shake off the stress. haha!
Welcome to RUclips you are always going to make people mad for something. You can't make everyone happy but at least your owning up to your mistake. Keep pushing forward 💪🏿.
Wytse...you are a MAN among men.If Governments took the responsibility you have, the world would be a far better place. I'm pleased to be a fairly long time subscriber, and will continue to be. GB.
Wow Wytse, your honesty is humbling. Admitting that you feel that you made a misstep takes a lot of courage, this really shows your integrity. Don't lose any sleep though, it's not worth that much drama. To offer a little support I just became an early access member of your channel. Alle kleine beetjes helpen ;)
Don't worry brother! Yes, that video was remarkable, but I figured you needed that sponsorship. I didn't know keeping this channel up is currently quite the struggle and sharing this with us made me decide to become a member (ook al is het een druppel op de gloeiende plaat). You make GREAT content. I love your snake oil vids. Keep your head up!
Yep... The music production niche has become oversaturated and things are not the way they used to be because of how the economy is going. I'm branching out to cover more universally appealing topics on another channel myself because it's just not worth the effort anymore. Maybe if people didn't skip ads that wouldn't be the case but they do and it is what it is.
Still here buddy! Love your videos and thank you once again for bringing us this FREE content on YT. I’m pretty sure the naysayers aren’t exactly rushing in to help keep you afloat or anything. You’re doing a great job at keeping us all well informed sir! 🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍
I'm not going anywhere. Temu video was interesting. I was interested how decent the audio interface was. We all know it isn't as good as Neve, API and SSL. Relax man. I don't question your credibility at all.
I wouldn't bother the few who may have unsubscribed. For most of us making mistakes is part of being human! Building a good relationship involves challenges. This video shows your self-reflective talent. Keep pushing!
Wytse... PLEASE do not be too hard on yourself, every single person who criticised your video has also made big mistakes most of which they probably didn't own. I was surprised to see you connecting with Temu BUT I was also surprised at the amount of venom coming your way some of which was over the top. In reality no harm has been done, you have gained respect by being a person who can accept they've made a mistake (most people cannot do this) and you and the channel will be fine. Get your smile back and DON'T WORRY! It's sorted. ❤
Keep up the great work. No worries. People are so cut throat. This is minor, its not like you did something criminal. You are a good person, and help many of us even if we don't always agree. You are one of the few people I trust and like to hear your perspectives.
Dude stop apologizing for this type of bs. Those comments don’t speak for everyone who watches your channel. Just do whatever you want. Your real fans will follow. You shed a lot of light on terrible problems in the industry and even though it was a sponsored, you shined a light in a fun way on terrible equipment. Let’s people know what not to buy, as well.
I agree, I wasn't going to stop watching your content. You are good at what you do (better than most content creators). Just keep going, you didn't lose any real fans.
Something may get lost here! There IS economical entry equipment for most of the gear one would need to create quality work! Maybe not from Temu, but there is definitely a market for videos that FIND those golden nuggets! Keep up the good work!
No mistake ! Forget about this (in Austria such gear is called China-Schrott) Why? Because they make too much money with unuseable things when mostly poor people are happy that they can buy anything for their fun. After it they are frustrated. I think your video was the best thing to show what is going on in this shop and what wrong impression they gave their customers, when they order something. money back and ciao !
The funny thing for me was, I literally had a DM57 (or whatever they want to call it) on order from Temu when your video dropped, and was keen to compare it to a real 57. It was cheap enough to use it as a junk mic if it really was junk. I was actually keen to hear your tests. I thought some of the vitriol in the comments was really over the top. You've made it clear what you stand for, and it just seemed to be a fun one-off different video. People get butt-hurt so easily. If you don't like it, just go! The channel doesn't owe YOU anything.
I was never a mistake to being with. It was an honest review with sound testing. If people disagreed with the quality, buy something else. He took a sponsorship to pay the bills. That doesn't mean he's a sellout if he's honest in the review.
@@MichaelJamesWoodyeah the video was good and useful. I think the only problem is Temu's reputation, which is fine. still the overreaction was ridiculous, people have zero tolerance these days. but that's also how they treat themselves, so we should feel sorry for them. constructive criticism is good and healthy, but those stupid fucking lynch mobs are an ugly thing (and just make everything worse in the bullshit name of self righteousness).
@@MichaelJamesWood That's just a matter of perspective. The way I see it, he believes he has made a mistake and my only intention is to encourage him. That's all.
WOW...I admire your honesty! I just searched and found a dozen other music channels who took a similar route. You are not alone. But tho I missed your Temu channel, I must say, scanning thru these other sites leaves me not interested in clicking on them. THEY LOOK CHEAP. They seem to be a total sellout. I dig that it takes money to operate, but like you said...at what cost? You have given me solid info over several years and saved me from spending money on crap. That's why, due to your integrity alone, I am "Thanking" you a small amount. It won't pay your bills but it will show that at least one of your loyal viewers recognizes your worth. Peace.
I just love your videos most of the time, and cannot, and would not blame you when i see all you offer to us. I just simply passed this last video after few second, when i got where you were going with it. No arm, till you announce at the beginning your intention! Much love and support to you Sir White Sea! Who never made a mistake? Keep on shining on us, you do it great! Boom!
I have that Temu video in my to-watch list, so now I'm even more curious to see it. Honestly, I was really surprised when I saw it - Temu would be the last company I'd think to be featured up here, but I understand you might not be following internet dramas, etc. I actually thought the video is about how bad they are. We'll see when I see it :) EDIT: or I won't see it, it's gone :(
It contained short checks for small table top "monitor" loudspeakers, scarlett-lookalike audio-interface (which had some oddity that it had 4 preamps, but only 2 were visible via the drivers or something like that....), multiple microphones which pretty much all sounded wierd... It's quite clear that all of us in this channel should never acquire such thingies... nor even accept as a present; unless giving them as toys to our nephews or something... You really didn't miss anything important.
You are easily the most honest audio guy on RUclips. People are mostly ridiculous these days and no one needs to unsubscribe just because they didn't like 1 single video. It wasn't a bad video, it was interesting. You do you, because you are awesome. Thank you.
Was thinking about this kind of thing. The other thing with RUclips, is that the vibe is getting increasingly vicious. I see it in the synthesizer community space too, where it used to be. And I think there's not much empathy for the fact that just keeping the lights on and feeding yourself in the music space is getting increasingly very difficult. And people are having to do what they feel they have to, to survive. So hang in there Wytse, I get plenty of value from your content, enjoy and will continue to. Everyone makes mistakes.
I'm a long time viewer, watch all your videos, and I wasn't upset about that Temu video. I thought it might have been useful to new producers. The subject matter didn't really apply to me, but I wasn't offended by the sponsorship. I imagine there are probably other people like me too that didn't see it as a big deal. So, don't take the criticisms too hard. There are plenty of us who love what you do and are thankful for you creating all of these great videos. "Keep pushing!"
Not everyone has money to buy all good brands products. Living in Eastern Europe and having 20$ as a monthly salary would make impossible having a studio. My first "studio" was a 30$ Shure C607 + a second hand M Audio soundcard, recording in a wardrobe, all cables being some hand soldered antenna cables from Turkish marketplace. At that time, having the Temu gear on that price would have been a miracle to me. At this time, any kid with a computer can have a studio fully equipped under 100$, which is an amazing thing. Anyone can hate Temu as much as they want, but I think the pop filter, the cables and the microphone stands were of very good quality.
@@carenzaguido they sell your personal data, they mistreat their suppliers, some of their suppliers resort to slavery, the stuff they sell is bad quality and their customer support is bad.
I just find it mad how you’re known for being so harsh with your opinion with professional audio companies but was making temu look like you struck gold 🤣🤣🤣
Hey man, I love your channel and respect your honesty. I didn't watch the Temu video and don't really understand the controversy. You obviously work incredibly hard on the channel and that's in addition to your usual mixing and mastering work and respect your honesty. Long live White Sea Studio ❤
@@jorgemartinez42069 I agree. I don't think he made a mistake to being with. My favorite thing about this channel is his honesty and when I disagree with him, I just laugh because of his style in presenting it.
@@MichaelJamesWoodhe made it clear himself it was a costly mistake and assume he wasn't aware of the Temu reputation. He deleted the video, hasn't slept and put out an apology. The sponsorship was for money, yet deleting was more valuable. That's a costly mistake. The OP here said nothing pretentious or incorrect. I'd never unsubscribe from someone who gave so much and was trying to figure out how to survive but clearly, many will. Either way, he discovered it was a mistake even if the people who left were unfair and harsh. Lesson learned, he won't be doing that again. Do I believe he deserves for people to return? Yes. I can also say my compassion runs deep. The look, not sleeping, giving so much yet people leaving so fast. I feel awful. Unfair or not, both costly and a mistake are accurate with evidence. That's not a harsh comment, it's simply observing and navigating YT culture.
Mate it was just a bit of fun/oddness on the channel. I watched it, wasn't a bad thing to do necessarily... NOBODY DIED It was just a video! Really really don't stress about it and HOLY SHIT get some sleep! If it's in any way profitable might want to push the mixing review/consultations that you offer a bit more - I didn't realise that was even a thing until I went to your website and it did WONDERS for me (I did treat my room and thanks for all the advice for that hour) but that's solid gold for a home studio setup having an actual pro on the line. I think many many others would benefit from that so might be a thing to plug now and again. Keep pushing there sir. We all love the channel and Wytse!
Wow, my friend... You've tried something that didn't work. All the people who have unsubscribed are so so so perfect at all levels (sarcasm mode on). By following you, I've learned so many things... So many.... And I've worked in a lot a great studios (as ICP, Katy, Studio de la Grande Armée). You're an honnest guy, a competent engineer and a good man. This video you just made is clearly an evidence. Don't worry about all the haters who are a part of the world wide idiocracy.... Making mistakes are the best things that can happen to someone. Without them, we can't step forward and get better.... But, really, don't change my friend. You are like a fresh wind in the desert. Thanks for everything you are doing since... a longtime now.
You just made a new subscriber with your honesty. Everybody can make mistake. I was watching a video about cult the other day, from a girl who've been in a cult, she was telling her experience. The company sponsoring her video is managed by... a cult leader! You can imagine the comments! She was horrified of course, but the community understood that she wasn't aware of that fact and it's ok at the end. Ok, now I'm going to watch what you're doing with these machines!!!
Hey Wytse, I love your videos, no stress, you got to make a living and you don't take money from plugins companies, it's hard to do what you do and stay afloat. I'm not sure what the solution is, but you certainly haven't lost me as a follower.
I did wonder why why why??????? this will cause so much damage to reputation! - but thanks for explaining and owning it. damage limitations I guess, I really like your explanation, what I expect from you - honesty and no gimmicks- Again thanks
Temu is very bad business. You didn't know so it's not your fault, but I'm glad you were able to identify the mistake quickly and try to mitigate the decline of your reputation.
So good of you to own up to this Wytse, that takes character. Very sorry this hit you so hard but never forget that side of you also is what makes you great at your job, being precise and sensitive etc. Hope you can move on from this now ❤
I never saw that vid but either way I can respect anyone who owns up to a mistake and admits it and apologizes. Shows integrity. We're all allowed to screw up from time to time. Don't sweat it.
If people are unsubscribing because of this, they’re pansies and you don’t need them. People are coming into this at all levels. I had amazing siblings that bought me UAD, Fender and Gibson products, top of the line shure equipment but some people have to start with less expensive products. Either way, fun videos aren’t a bad thing. Being silly is okay and doing challenges like that video are awesome.
Been watching you for years and years and the Temu video was just a bit of a lol video moment for me. Nothing more than that... Don't stress so much your channel is still gold standard and well above the rest. Your word is still held in high regard. You have put years of graft into this you would have to do a lot to lose me as a viewer!
Hi Wytse, I really liked your Temu video. You did a great job on that pile of cheap stuff. Why anyone would react badly to it is beyond me. No way you are getting cancelled! You're a great RUclipsr. Your stuff is always informative and entertaining. That's a great combination. Please don't stop!!!!!!
The Temu video felt a bit out of place (for your channel) nonetheless, you had some good points and the sound for example the mic's gave made it clear for me to not buy them.. xD But for people to unsubscribe (and even hate-comment) I think is a step too far. But hey, that's the internet in a nutshell.. We're all human, we all make mistakes. It's a shame you get stressed bc of this; i hope it must be mostly the algorithm / YT demands, because making these video's should be fun right?
I thought that the Temu video was a joke. But, you learned from this as we all do from time to time. Bottom line: you know how to review stuff and your channel is still super informative. So keep up the good work. And "Beter ten halve gekeerd dan ten hele gedwaald."
I think you need to quit worrying about what people think and feel... These people are not paying your bills or feeding you... Screw what people think or feel or say..
I've been watching your channel for years and I love it, you are one of my favourite Pro Audio RUclipsrs for many reasons, not least because you know what you're talking about. You've made me buy plenty of things that I probably wouldn't have considered over the years. Although I also thought the Temu thing was a bit unexpected, you didn't need to apologise for it. You tried something different and some people didn't like it, no big deal. You've given away so much of your time and expertise on here that anybody who unsubbed because of one video is truly no loss. Keep up the great work Wytse ;)
Well done for recognizing that mistake. Your channel has taught us a lot about plugins and more, and it's important for us to know that this education is of high quality. Keep the quality high, as you have accustomed us to. When we don't know about a plugin, because you present it, we know it's at least worth taking a look. As for 'temu'-style videos, we'll go to other channels with that type of content.
I didn't see the Temu video but i gotta say i appreciate your authenticity in this particular vid. I actually respect you more than i did a week ago rather than less
I am watching your videos, they are great. But It is so sad ,what i see here in this video. You are making a great content and at the same time you have to apologize just because of one review, that IMHO IS NOT a MISTAKE at all ! For the "sofa-experts" it is easy to watch the videos and reviews, that someone makes. There are a lot of sofa-experts, who has no glue at all: how much time, experience, money and other resources you are investing into it. And most expensive one is a TIME . But nobody cares.. To be sponsored by any company/platform/brand - why not? Money in music industry is especially sharp question . And i am sure: there are people, who would like to know - how sounds the affordable equipment from Temu, right? Not everyone can afford the expensive gear, right? So, the video about Temu products was personally for me just interesting. But the main truth about this "mistake" is this : now you know, who really supports you on your channel and will never blame you for your decisions. Every sound engineer/producer/youtuber has right to be sponsored. And your real friends and community members will always stay by your side. I wish you good luck, stay positive in what you are doing, be strong, and keep pushing! :)
Understandable. I think the video was a solid showcase that there's a cost of entry to audio equipment. There's a difference between being frugal and completely trying to cut corners. I think it really showed that quality comes at a price. So, personally there was no harm-no-foul. Get paid to show folks why aesthetic knock-offs fail in comparison to their more costly originals. But that's just my opinion. I taught audio for ~10 years and that was a lesson that my students had to learn the hard way. I get why some might feel upset but at no point was the pained fake smile anything less than a dead giveaway that the product was bad. However, I'll watch either way. Whether it's pipe-dream top tier legendary stuff or "snake oil" videos comparing cheap products to what they're trying to knock off.
I swear, people hold influencers to an almost god like standard. Like, you are getting all these entertainment and knowledge for free. Let them make some money sometimes... Start using some of that energy on politicians that do so so much worse and we act like it's normal
I'll say that, I would much rather that you stay transparent even when making an occasion mistake, rather than becoming one of those super polished channels where viewers are non the wiser if it's your output or some cleverly disguised sponsorship deal. And I'm certain others feel the same way. Thank you for being true to the craft and true to the world of sound engineering. 👍
You are Definitely a Bigger person after acknowledging and taking responsibility than you were, even Before you made that video! Thanks for listening to us! ❤🤗
Wasn't subscribed before ( not sure why as I watch most of your videos ), so I subscribed to show support in this situation which you handled appropriately IMO. Onward & upward.
I have to admit the Temu video kinda rose my eyebrow but I didn't think all too much about it. However, this video proofs that you are (and alway have been) one of the most reliable and honest you-tubers in the audio segment. As always, thanks so much for making great and honest and independent content, keep pushing and see you soon!
Thank you. One thing you did is, you proved that you can’t judge a book by its cover and the quality of some of the equipment vs the price vs the effort in the form of quality control is a gray area sometimes. I purchased a guitar from China. It was a Strat style. The woodwork, the craftsmanship was marvelous on this guitar. The electronics though, not so much. In fact to say it was horrendous would be an understatement. With that said however, for the price I paid, I changed the Electronics and it’s a fabulous guitar. I’ve used Chinese condensers in the past and some of them are good but, a lot of them not. No, I’m not any form or fashion trying to dish on goods and services. Chinese equipment they do make a lot of good stuff as well. And you can see the effort that is put into it, but unfortunately, there are a few that just create stuff and you got a chance to see a lot of them. But when it comes to cheap audio equipment, what you showed his par for the course. Self noise is a big thing, condensers that aren’t condensers. One big issue is the cables that come with some of the mics. Anytime you have a balanced XLR on a cable with an unbalanced on the other end, especially when it’s supposed to be connected to a condenser. Where is it going to get its phantom power from? The one blaring thing was the interface. It had four inputs, but only use two of them. If you opened the box and looked inside it would probably be scary. I for one, don’t hold it against you. It’s a learning curve we all go through other than that. Other than that, I commend you on stepping up to the plate and saying, I F’ed. We all do. Good luck in the future, we’ll be watching in the wings.
I've never commented before but when i watch your videos i find them very informative and your presentation breezy - conversational and low key funny tone without ever being annoying which seems to be a difficult thing to pull off when comparing you to other hosts
Kop op Wytse! No worries, sometimes things go wrong. You are a good human being and the fact you apologise so sincere and honest must be enough. Start pushing!
Dude, we make mistakes, we all do. its mighty big of you to own up and forge on ahead. You'll be stronger for it. I also think that its at times like this that it would serve you well to remember how much value you have given to your community over the years, and keep your focus on continuing to build on that.

Hats off to you. We all make mistakes and you’ve owned it. Plus you do need to make money. I completely fee for you and respect this video very much. It takes a bigger person to admit their mistakes. Thank you for all the free content I’ve been enjoying ✊🏻😊❤️
True Fact i guess!

Gathering an audience that hates Temu so unanimously is a great sign of how good your regular content is
Amen! 🙏
@@Whiteseastudio GOD BLESS, NlGGA
Still supporting you here, your snake oil videos are great!
Referral link I don't think so
But forgive for what really?
Keep pushing forward 💪🏿.
i dont think this is a cant make everyone happy thing at all. it's just a sometimes something was bad and apologising is the best move and thats ok
Wytse...you are a MAN among men.If Governments took the responsibility you have, the world would be a far better place. I'm pleased to be a fairly long time subscriber, and will continue to be. GB.
Maak je niet druk. Je video’s zijn geweldig en inhoud top. Ik leer veel van je. Keep pushing!
Totalmente de acuerdo.
Not only mistakes they didn't own, but better yet PUBLICLY own. Respect to this guy. People can be pretty gross given a tiny bit of anonymity.
I see it the same way. It was an honest video. People don't have to like it or buy the product. No apology needed.
Something may get lost here! There IS economical entry equipment for most of the gear one would need to create quality work! Maybe not from Temu, but there is definitely a market for videos that FIND those golden nuggets! Keep up the good work!
Don't be to hard for yourself man, take some rest and remember that social media is not the most important thing in life :)
No mistake !
Forget about this (in Austria such gear is called China-Schrott)
Why?
Because they make too much money with unuseable things when mostly poor people are happy that they can buy anything for their fun.
After it they are frustrated.
I think your video was the best thing to show what is going on in this shop and what wrong impression they gave their customers, when they order something.
money back and ciao !
Years of excellent content and expertise are not erased by one bad decision. We all stand by you.
No loosing my trust this quick! No worries, I always appreciated the clear and unbiased thoughts you have so I will still remain gladly
We got your back man! Head up and keep up the awesome work 🥰
The funny thing for me was, I literally had a DM57 (or whatever they want to call it) on order from Temu when your video dropped, and was keen to compare it to a real 57.
We all make mistakes, my friend, don't worry.
We'll see when I see it :)
EDIT: or I won't see it, it's gone :(
It contained short checks for small table top "monitor" loudspeakers, scarlett-lookalike audio-interface (which had some oddity that it had 4 preamps, but only 2 were visible via the drivers or something like that....), multiple microphones which pretty much all sounded wierd... It's quite clear that all of us in this channel should never acquire such thingies... nor even accept as a present; unless giving them as toys to our nephews or something... You really didn't miss anything important.
@@tforsell Thanks! :)
You are easily the most honest audio guy on RUclips. People are mostly ridiculous these days and no one needs to unsubscribe just because they didn't like 1 single video. It wasn't a bad video, it was interesting. You do you, because you are awesome.
Thank you.
People are way too critical bro
Fair play, fella. I'm considering the matter closed and so should you. Learn from your mistakes and bounce back better.
I just didn't watch the video. Problem solved.
Love your honesty…thank you…👍
Not everyone has money to buy all good brands products.
I was thinking the Temu budget studio video might bring in a different audience capture, which can only be a good thing in an otherwise niche field.
I didn’t want to make you feel bad.
I just don’t like Temu.
Video idea was cool 😎
@@carenzaguido he took it down.
@@carenzaguido yes, that’s the one.

For those wondering, the song being used during the apology is Sandstorm, by Darude
Shazam agrees
I just find it mad how you’re known for being so harsh with your opinion with professional audio companies but was making temu look like you struck gold 🤣🤣🤣
You are one of only a handful of very few reviewers that I trust. Thank you for demonstrating integrity.
As crap as Temu is, at this point I'd rather see them than Raid: shadow legends ;-), but seriously, that took some character and integrity, well done.
Hey man, I love your channel and respect your honesty. I didn't watch the Temu video and don't really understand the controversy. You obviously work incredibly hard on the channel and that's in addition to your usual mixing and mastering work and respect your honesty. Long live White Sea Studio ❤
Costly mistake.
brave and courageous to admit 👍🏼
Onwards and upwards, back to quality content!😉
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Such a pretentious comment lol
NOBODY DIED
It was just a video!
You straight homie. Still my top spot plugin/hardware review channel.
We all make mistakes. Understand that we like you because of your sincerity.
Hope you can move on from this now ❤
I've learned a lot from you so the only thing I can do is to support.
Cheer up men! It was just a mistake. Love your channel and the way you do videos! Greetings from Colombia! Thanks for all the knowledge you share.
I was not bothered by temu video…
I never saw that vid but either way I can respect anyone who owns up to a mistake and admits it and apologizes. Shows integrity. We're all allowed to screw up from time to time. Don't sweat it.
If people are unsubscribing because of this, they’re pansies and you don’t need them. People are coming into this at all levels. I had amazing siblings that bought me UAD, Fender and Gibson products, top of the line shure equipment but some people have to start with less expensive products. Either way, fun videos aren’t a bad thing. Being silly is okay and doing challenges like that video are awesome.
I appreciate people who admit mistakes. So for me it is a clear fu** it and move on. :)
Ya - I think you missed the mark but you made it right with this video IMO - Still a fan of your channel! I make mistakes ALL THE TIME!
Been watching you for years and years and the Temu video was just a bit of a lol video moment for me. Nothing more than that... Don't stress so much your channel is still gold standard and well above the rest. Your word is still held in high regard. You have put years of graft into this you would have to do a lot to lose me as a viewer!
Keep going! "Abraço" from Portugal.
Heavy on the not paying your bills smh
I've been watching your channel for years and I love it, you are one of my favourite Pro Audio RUclipsrs for many reasons, not least because you know what you're talking about. You've made me buy plenty of things that I probably wouldn't have considered over the years. Although I also thought the Temu thing was a bit unexpected, you didn't need to apologise for it. You tried something different and some people didn't like it, no big deal. You've given away so much of your time and expertise on here that anybody who unsubbed because of one video is truly no loss. Keep up the great work Wytse ;)
small mistake, ok, cool... but bro you can chill out. Have some rest. We are not usubing. You make great content. Everything is cool.
Apology accepted. Keep moving forward.
Yes
Thanks for the transparency! Your standards is why I subscribe and I get the difficulty in managing that with sponsorships.
No worries man! Courage in the face of this kind of thing is a wonderful thing!!!!!
I've never commented before but when i watch your videos i find them very informative and your presentation breezy - conversational and low key funny tone without ever being annoying which seems to be a difficult thing to pull off when comparing you to other hosts
You are awesome. Don’t worry about my loyalty. Who does an honest apology? You do. Thank for being you
Kop op Wytse!
