Thanks for the detailed review. Looking forward to driving the car this weekend. So glad 397 is still bringing the new tire model along with the new sound engine to some of the older cars.
You, sir, are a stalwart for RF2...I cranked it up and dear God it was soooooo slow and when finally it started it had its usual 1980s graphics, terrible clipping but hey, decent tyre model. It's amazing how reputations from many years ago persist, this sim is a travesty & as such I've finally uninstalled it, obviously a 3060ti & Ryzen 5 5600x with 16gb of 3200 RAM isn't enough to make this anachronistic old dog look 20th century, never mind 21st. I've seen les jaggies in Tekken on the old PS2 but apparently this is the best sim racing can offer...????? Nostalgia, as George Burns once said, certainly ain't what it used to be :)
HAHA it is the driving model and the physics that make this the best sim out there. Noone else even comes close. Actually AMS 1 does but the level of detail on the FFB is so good.
I most certainly am mate! The premium content actually looks really good, but it depends highly on your graphics settings as to what actually shows up. Im on a similar spec PC and can run it with reasonably good settings and still get a decent FPS. If you ever re'install it I could give you my settings to try. Loading times are pretty damn slow on first load of a track, after that they speed up quite a bit, but if you change any graphic settings at all, it will then slow down again for next first load, if that makes any sense

Thankyou Sir! I do hope they update all the old cars, but im not banking on it happening all at once
8:17 strange, i find it to have oversteer as soon as i touch the brakes, especially mid-corner... power and coast understeer, brake oversteer.
Stiffen front suspension 1 click
Could just be my driving style giving me a different result
Does rFactor still prefer you to slide the car around very oversteery?
You can drive it that way if you want, but its slower, depends V much on type of car aswell, much like the real thing
They forgot to model the pedals. I use it in VR and pedals are missing. 😅
its a really old contend from rFactor 2 😂 the most recent ones has perfect interiors. Sadly the feet are not animated apart from the karts
Oh thats a shame, I'd not noticed as hav'nt driven in VR for a while, I should do that some time!
