This is cool to see. The only thing I don't like is people quick tapping, using polearms, to chew through your armor and get a quick win. Other than that this looks really good.
Thank you!!! I completely agree with you! that is one of the only things im not a big fan of! I call it machine gun hitting and i hate it! I usually try to bring my halberd back at least a couple feet to make it less machine gun lol
@@TallianAdventures Ah nice. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. I have never been so I don't know who to ask about this but what do the game masters think of this tactic? Do they allow i? If they don't it would be nice to publicly discuss it before battles as I would ignore these additional touches after the first one unless they pulled the weapon back and reset for another strike. Not fair play to cheese combat mechanics like this.
@@John_Conner222 Unfortunately it is a legal way to strike according to the official combat rules of bicolline. Bico is so big that the game masters only put out a large document with all the rules and storyline for that years grand battle. then its up to the general like me to pass on the info during training and other meetings. there are thousands of people on the battlefield its amazing and still sooo much fun.
@@TallianAdventures Well dang. Kinda lazy but good to know so that I am not surprised when I finally do make it out there. At least I have a better understanding now. I guess Ill need to study up on parrying and blocking techniques to prevent that kind of cheesy gameplay. Maybe change the design of my weapons and shields to make it harder to do that.
@John_Conner222 if you go to Bicolline you will understand that the game master are anything but lazy. I don't think it would be possible to have them talk to everyone and have them make sure everyone knows the rules. It is the responsibility of the generals and guild leaders to make sure their players are well informed and safe! Although I have not been to some of these other large larps to see how they do it. You have the right mindset though! You can adjust your fighting to make it better for you!

Its definitely one of my favorite moments! It was great meeting you at the PB and cant wait till the GB!! I have seen a sneak peak at the millitum purity seals( i think they are called) and they look great! Ps are you getting all this rain in NJ? And was curious if you had plans for the weekend?

I think i will be at the Lys Noire on Friday afternoon giving out free sword and shield lesions, i would encourage anyone from your guild who wants a deeper understanding of the blade to attend. Are there any discords or anything i could join to talk to fellow people going to the GB? Im really interested in going this year as i live only a couple hours away.... but im too nervous to go completely alone
That's a great question! I don't use discord a lot except foe my specific guild discord but I think there is just a bicolline discord that you may be able to start with. I don't know what your financial situation is but I use a travel package that makes it really simple and easy but it's not cheap.
Let's hope that you read the scenario a little better next time to have as unbiased a written story in the video, after which you say on which side you are. Calling the standing militaries of several regions a "peasant revolt" when you're the invader wasn't factual, even if the forces you fought in the 1023 GB had more peasants than usual, but all i ask is for you to read the documents Bicolline puts out instead of just saying what your guild leader told you, because Bico documents will be as unbiased as possible while your guild leader has a participation bias(as do i have and you have, because we are participants).
@@TallianAdventures Not with you Per Se, but i only ask that for the intros to your videos, when you present the battle scenarios, use the narrration Bicolline's official documents give. It'll give your subscribers who don't read the official documents(distributed via Bicolline's official website) a less biased view, and would give them an idea of the bias you have. Everyone has a bias, and even if you admit yours, try to use the least biased descriptions available.
