McQueen was brillant actor. Check out "The Magnificent Seven" He carried the ball in that movie even surpassed Yul Brenner. McQueen was brillant in "Pappion" and "The Great Escape", he started in "Wanted Dead Or Alive" he was fast, and had the confidence even then. He had the same charisma that Elvis had. He was beautiful inside and out. A giant on the screen. ❤
I was working overnights at a convenience store in the Texas Hill Country. One night two guys come in. One is tall with a beat up cowboy hat and a leather patch over his left eye. Cowboy dress shirt, clean jeans and old boots. His friend wore a hat with "Stunt Mans Association Retired" embroidered on the front. Nice Polo shirt and slacks. I asked the second man about his hat. "How do you get a hat like that?". "Easy. You break a lot of bones". That man was Bill Hart. He's one of the body guards on the boat going through Downtown San Antonio.with Steve McQueen and corrupt business man. Saw him once in awhile for years. He started out as a rodeo competitor. He was offered a steady job in Hollywood. Did movies and TV for many years.
@@motionattached Met some interesting people working the overnight shift at this particular store. In one direction it was nine miles to the next town. Fifteen miles, twenty two miles and ten miles in other directions. Never got robbed. After awhile I began to suspect a portal from the Twilight Zone was just outside the parking lot.
He was just magic on the screen. He had so much confidence no matter what the role. Taken way too soon. He had so much more he wanted to do. Shame. He served his country in the Navy and died during to the asbestos on the ship. I believe he accepted Christ before he left and that is important. ❤
To lindadeisher1815 may I recommend Ralph Nelson's Soldier in the Rain (1963) with Jackie Gleason,Don Siegel's Hell is for Heroes (1962), Robert Mulligan's Love with the Proper Stranger(1964) with Natalie Wood, Robert Mulligan's Baby the Rain Must Fall(1965) with Lee Remick, Norman Jewison's The Cincinnati Kid (1965), Sam Peckinpah's Junior Bonner (1972), Mark Rydell's The Rievers (1969), Henry Hathaway's Nevada Smith (1966) and imho Steve's best role Robert Wise's The Sand Pebbles (1966) for which Steve got his only Oscar nomination. Fun fact; 20th Century Fox wanted McQueen for the Sundance Kid but he refused to take second billing to Paul Newman. The part was then offered to Warren Beatty who turned it down and then to some guy named Robert "somethingorother" who jumped on it.
Did you see the coat the guy was wearing when Steve shot him? It was warm weather it looked like! It concealed a bullet proof vest from the day! Same actor as was in the Bronson movie "Mr Majestic"! I think they used real bullets to make the scene appear to be real when the bullets hit the vest!
Thanks for sharing. Doc actually didn't kill Rudy on that scene, I cut the proceeding Rudy and the doctor and wife things off, that was too much entertaining purpose. 🕹😂
The whole drama about Rudy and doctor and his wife was little bit absurd, a forced quality for just entertaining purpose, which is not important in a 18-min summary. 😂🕹
@@Wastelander13 That is nice, but you pay both time and the money. By the way, one scene that I cut ruthlessly was about Rudy, the doctor and his wife, which was totally for entertaining purpose, even at absurd level. 😂😹
Along with the Shawshank Redemption, my all time top two favorite movies.
Both are so deserved to be on your top two, 🕹🍿🎉
Sam Peckenpah and McQueen you know this is awesome movie.
It is truly a great action thriller, McQueen projected him so well as a smart operator and calm in critical moment, 🕹😂
Both Men Are U.S. Marines, May They R.I.P. Semper-Fi.
Forgot how good this movie was. Thanks for putting it up.
Thanks for watching. 😂🕹🍿
A classic.

Wow Great movie Steve Mcqueen n AliMcgraw The Getaway those iconic movies of actor n actresses low budget films but lots of punch k!
One of the Best !!
To say the least, 😂😂🕹
Best Movie. I remember seeing this on TV as a kid
I guess you might have an anxiety when they lost that suitcase containing half million dollars.😂🕹
Best shotgun scenes ever. McQueen is using a High Standard Flite King riot pump...7 shots. Short pump cycle. Nice gun. I have one
Another Gem from the good old day's...
Then 1960s would be the good old age, 😂🕹
"He didn't make it and neither do you."
Probably not the best time to say that.
What ever Ruby said, Doc was just ahead of the game, he had a prepared mind. 🕹😂
Good old Sam Peckinpah, always delivering your daily dose of of vitamine violence.
😂😹

Cool, Good one!!
STEVE MC. QUENN.. insieme a ALI MC. GRAW... una coppia perfetta x un grande film. Lo visto tante volte..
They don't make em like this anymore 👍👍
The slapping part wasn't even in the script McQ improvised that to great effect.
I cut some of the slapping part, to make sure it was not over doing. 😂🕹
This film should have never been remade. Bo Hopkins reprises his role as the agent of Murphy's Law.
When a great film is remade, some producers just try to collect money still on the table, 😂🕹
Bellissima ALI MC. GRAW...

Sam drank himself to death. They wouldn't allow him to make the movies the way he wanted to.
