I agree with you! When I watch Sleepaway Camp, I always feel bad for her especially in the scene where Meg picks Angela and throw her to the water while she was screaming from despair, begging to not throw her at the water. Now Return to Sleepaway Camp, the only thing I got to think is they did Alan like a "new Angela" species where we were supposed to feel bad for him, but in the end, I hated him so much but so much that I was wanting Angela to kill him. To be sincere, I felt much more bad for the glasses shy boy than Alan.
I think the sequel should be better or maybe decent if the plot continues where the first movie ended. I always wanted to know what happened with Angela/Peter, Ricky or even Aunt Martha. Since the original Angela survived after boat accident, Don't exists any reason for her be a killer. I mean, when I heard Felissa rose played Angela again, immediately I thought she was going to play the same shy Angela from the first movie but when I discovered she not was going to play Angela/Peter but the original Angela of boat accident, It confused my mind a lot. Until today, I still be confused a lot. Never got to understand. I mean, If was the Angela/Peter, it should be acceptable since Angela/Peter was bullied, traumatized and even being forced by his aunt to be a girl, Now the original Angela being a killer after to survive the accident?? What was her reason? Return to Sleepaway Camp had a lot of potential to explore the characters of first movie and be a great sequel but in the end, I felt like RTSC tried to be like the first movie but without that magic that only the first movie has.

I think as much as the dialogue and script are awful, that his performance (while not that good) shows that he's at least an actor who really *acts* and puts himself into roles. Here's a better idea for Alan: Alan starts out being a bully and jerk to the nerds in his cabin, but he also gets bullied by people more powerful than him. One day, one of the nerds saves Alan, either from one of the bullies, or from a natural occurrence, like walking off a cliff, or sliding down a waterfall. Because of this, Alan becomes much more kinder, and starts to bond with the nerds.

Good lighting, posters in the background (especially your Caligula poster), and you big comfy chair front in center. 4:00- Try saying that today, especially with Bumblebee released last month. Return to Sleepaway Camp is like Halloween (2018), only if it fucking sucked. 6:08- Is it just me, or does Angela disguised as a cop look like a shorter version of Ed Glaser? 11:21- *LOL* 13:27- I've seen Obscurus Lupa's review of Zombie Nation, and I agree with you about the music. 18:16- For not kicking out Alan, this camp is so sued. So fucking sued. 27:57- Welp, 2018 has came and went, and as far as my research on Wikipedia and IMDB goes, there's a film called Camp Cold Brook that was filled in 2017, but it has not yet been given a release date, and Angela is now being played by Danielle Harris, aka Jaime Lloyd from Halloween 4 & 5.
Didn't even know this episode was a thing! Nice! And for what's worth, there's something oddly satisfying about seeing a child molester scream in dying agony for 5 straight minutes.

I think James over at Dead Meat described this movie best: Robert Hiltzik is a film student who never really found his footing. Considering this is the only other film he’s made since the OG film, there’s some truth. No disrespect to the man, but he could’ve worked on other films but he was raising a family instead after the OG film was done
Thats very silly because both of his movies are actually very good. So that comment makes no sense. Cinema Is about having something to say and saying it through a movie, not about how much work you got.

Shame we never got a deeper look into his character, I feel like if this film was handled with more nuance and grace, he could've been a fascinating character.
Sorry But Not Sorry Jordan DeHart, but I'm not empathizing nor feeling sorry for an annoying antisocial hypocritical bully.
@@jordandehart6905 thats what i thought as well, alan would have worked so much better in an entirely separate non-horror movie. the first hour i almost forgot i was watching a sleepaway camp movie with how invested i was and then the last 30 minutes felt like they were just spamming in kills and hastily adding the angela twist to catch up to the name
“ANGELAAAAAA!!! 😲”
Thank goodness that guy stood there yelling that. You know instead of rushing her so they can put this crazy killer down. She's not Jason, I'm pretty sure they can take her.
Thank you for that, Ricky. 🤨😏
Did you see how he just had a poker face while she spoke, then just broke out with that line?
😂😂😂
At least in the original, you feel sorry for Angela. I think they made him an asshole so people would assume he's the killer but it doesn't work when you're trying to make getting bullied his motivation for killing. He just comes off as a narcissist.
I think Brad’s read of the line “Acting...” is one of my favorite things ever.
Can't believe I have never seen this one. Glad you uploaded this.
Oh Isaac Hayes and just a
to thank you receive an Academy Award for the musical score in Shaft the original Shaft
Notice that this one has a TC (part 2 reference) and a Karen (the actress from the 1st film that played Judy is actually named Karen Fields)
Brad "BlowJob" Jones
Craig Golightly
Doug “Funny” Walker
Me and my neighbors saw this film when we rented it on DVD and we would always qoute the friend of Weed crying "No waaay man....not Weed. WEEEEEED!!!"
I've been waiting so long for this episode to come back up. Thank you Brad.
5:05 “Most unlikable lead since ‘Triumph of the Will’”, huh? Hmm...
*looks up movie*
Wow. Snob’s hate for Alan runs deep enough to beat out a Nazi propaganda movie? Damn.
This was my reaction in 2013 😂
From time to time I come back to this video just to hear Ricky shout, "ANGELA!" 🤣
I actually really liked that floor-spike scene. If I were there I would have moved away from that hole even if it was sealed up with brickwork, so seeing these idiots look down into the hole right away over and over is just unnerving and funny.
This movie looks like it was made in 1986, not 2008
2003, but your point still stands.
Nah, it really does look like an early 2000s film. I think it's just the environment that gives an old, 80s vibe.
Or 1994
The goofy female fashion matches the early 00s-mid 00s.
Look like it has the same atmosphere as Scream & Final Destination.
Oh hey, the Snob's best review ever is back up.
This movie honestly deserves a Plinkett-style analysis. It's fucking flabbergasting how many bad decisions they made.
That awful moment when you realize that there are only ten minutes of the review left.. it's pretty dreadful. Specially when they feel like the shortest ten minutes ever...
I read this comment exactly with ten minutes left!
12:21 12:22 that is one coal-like corpse. Dude got barbecued to a crisp.
7:10, one of the best Cinema Snob references ever. Especially, because if I recall Brad and Shit-For-Brains liked Gigli in the Midnight Screenings.
Oh how I missed this episode! Thanks for reuploading it :D
YES!! Thank you, Brad! Thank you! I've waited years to see this one again. My favorite 2013 Snob episode!
Looks like the original director of Sleepaway Camp lost his edge when he came back making this.
Just like any person who worked on 80s and 90s movies/TV shows when they have to work in 2000s productions
Alan is basically Chris Chan.
He's more akin to a live action cartman..I. an at least belive Alan wouldn't cross the raped his own mother line
Jesus, Biff Tannen’s a more likeable character than Alan
"Why did David the Gnome have to turn into a fucking tree?" WOW. Brad with the deep fucking cuts.
I was JUST looking for this video last week, couldn't find it anywhere and got so frustrated. I'm so glad it's back!
This is the first episode of my favorite Cinema Snob set, that includes both your 2013-2018 location and your current location.
11:21- *LOL*
13:27- I've seen Obscurus Lupa's review of Zombie Nation, and I agree with you about the music.
How did Ricky not recognize his own cousin? Especially one that he lived with for eight years.
Didn't even know this episode was a thing! Nice!
And for what's worth, there's something oddly satisfying about seeing a child molester scream in dying agony for 5 straight minutes.
Also, Snob, how dare you diss Napoleon Dynamite????
13:21 13:22 13:23 13:24 13:25 13:26 13:27 13:28 yeah, I guess you’re right. It sounds like something out of an Indian pop music film.
Now I want a three part South Park episode that is a spoof of the Sleepaway Camp series.
I'm still waiting to learn who's behind all the fun and interesting cover photo art for every video.
I like to think of Return to Sleepaway Camp as Trevor Philips's (from GTA 5) origin story. :)
All the deaths in this movie look like Mortal Kombat Fatalities that were rejected 😂 when the boiled chef was shown with that drum and music sting LMAO!
Many thanks CS for the reupload!
I hate when movies try to make you feel bad for jerk character for arbitrary reason.
"Everyone is always picking on me because I'm different!" "They don't care I was sick once."
Just because he has problems doesn't mean other people should have to deal with him. It makes me hate all the camp workers for not booting him from camp for his behavior.
I remember that episode of The Simpsons when Homer Simpson put his shirt in the deep fryer.
Good on robert for looking after his family.
I didn’t know that Chef and Ned from South Park were in this movie!
And Eric Cartman. 😂
24:00 hes like the " what's all the noise?" Guy in birdemic
Finally! I’ve been waiting to see this again.
The only reason I'd watch this is to see Isaac Hayes say "Hello there children!" Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like he does.
Thanks a lot! Can finally watch one of my favorite episodes.
You know, seeing both cooks getting boiled to death, makes me think, why haven't you reviewed Toxic Avenger? Seriously, dude, I've been eagerly awaiting for you to do a review of the flick because that seems to be your kind of film. So, you planning on making a review on the Toxic Avenger series? Or are you gonna toss in Robot Jox? Either I'll be happy, but I'm super happy you brought this gem back...BJ XD lol
Easily one of my favorite reviews!! I was waiting so eagerly for this to pop up on RUclips.
Sadly, there was no sleepaway camp berserk 3d in 2018
Even Cartman of the newer seasons is more likeable than Allen.
A more likable Cartman cannot be Cartman; rather, a reasonable facsimile.
Also, Allen really is classic Cartman.
wingsandash no, classic cartman was funny
@@wingsandash I agree it's closer to early seasons Cartman where he's bitches & moans more often cause pple call him fatty whilst given Kyle shit for being Jewish. Before the infamous "Scott Tenorman Must Die" episode where Cartman "leveled up" shall we say.
I refuse to believe that Allan never killed anyone
I’ll just go with there were 2 killers
The scene of those two morons continuously looking into the hole made me laugh out loud :D
Ahhh yes, back in the days when Shamalamdingdong's worst film was The Village. Good times...
The only scene where I actually felt for Alan getting bullied was the paintball scene.
It reminds me of the scene where the troop hits private Pile with soap socks in Full Metal Jacket.
I can't recall when this movie came out but the MPAA censorship of these kind of movie might have had something to do with the trimmed down sanitized death sequences. But perhaps it's mostly budgetary as the Snob eludes to in the review. I didn't watch any of the sequels until years later because the twist ending of the original burnt itself ito my brain and scarred me henceforth. And I've watched a lot of horror flicks in my tme. There's just some dark allies I refuse to revisit. That ending is one of them.
2:56-3:01
Now I see where the Monsterverse movies got their opening credit sequences from
This is legit my favorite Snob review. I think it’s the angriest I’ve ever seen him and for good reason too. I finally sat down and watched this and no negative review can do it justice. It’s a mess.
16:22 to 16:58
Astute observation on character writing comparison.
Could have had Angela and Ricky in the whole movie with a great story. Why even make the movie if they were too lazy to come up with a creative scenario like that?
Jesus Christ this channel is funny. Freddy approves !
