- I have recently found Magura HS11 on sale at a bargain price at Aliexpress.
I tried to buy one to upgrade my wife's multi-use bike, The brake set received is the real thing as shown in the video.
For those who are interested, the following are my affiliate links to the shops selling HS11 (there are not many sets left, so they may be sold out anytime soon):

Generally you should be very careful when dealing with Aliexpress, because there are sill many hoax sellers there. Also beware that delivery time is now very long due to COVID-19.
Finally, a sensible, clearly explained, even silent method for adjusting these “wonderful” brakes.
Glad to know that there are those who find my video helpful.
Thanks for watching :)
Thank you for making these thorough videos. I'll use them when I install my own brakes soon.
Hi, these are really awesome rim brakes. They look cool too. They may be overkill for a multi-use bike, but you need much less effort to do a full brake.
Thanks for watching!
fantastic educational video, thanks. Answered any questions I could have.
Really glad you find this video useful.
Thanks for watching!
Good and detail video, thsnks bro.
I will try this component on my new v brake frame. And after watching the adjustment method of cylinder, I think it should works well with dropbar shifter. Thanks for this video.

At 12:42 you say "Now I need to cut short these ridiculously long hoses." but didn't show it. How did you do it? Do you lose any fluid and if so, what fluid do you use? thanks
Hi, there is another video showing how I cut the hose and install the brake boosters:

I should not recommend this maybe, but I use Shimano mineral oil.
Thanks for watching!
@@MindDesignFactory Thank you!
😉👍
Is there any like significant mounting difference between the easymount and the evo 2
Hi, I only knew that Evo 2 is newer and more flexible to fit on various rim brake situations. If you are familiar with conventional rim brake setting, then I think that you would prefer Evo 2.
I have found the following video at Magura official channel. Just a glimpse of difference between their mount mechanism, but you will get an idea (I hope...).

@@MindDesignFactory Thanks that explains the difference 👍
What rims are you using?
Front: Mavic XM117
Rear: Mavic XM117 -> Alexrims DH19
Say I need to pick up a set of Maguras for an older frame - and I can't seem to tell whether internet places are selling front or back assemblies. Do yo know how to tell the difference??
Hi, HS11 brake levers are in flip flop design, so you can use a HS11 lever both as right and as left lever. Any front/back brake set will be fine although you may need to change the orientation of the lever's clamp cover as shown in this video.
Thanks for watching!
👍
Excellent video. Much clearer than the magura videos. Thanks.
Glad you find this video useful.

This work on bmx????
No idea. If ordinary V-brakes for MTB work on your bmx, then this brake should work too.
Rim 26 ?
Yes😄
What brand?
I don't know what im doing wrong I've followed all your steps but I just can't do this at all
Every time I do the alignment and adjustment and make everything nice and tight as soon as I pull the brake lever everything goes off centered and loose
The back plate doesn't sit stright on my rear frame I'm using an old 1993 trek 7000 so perhaps my frame is worn and stressed out
I absolutely give up 😢 these brakes are not user friendly they are not easy at all
I don't know what's going wrong with your setup, but are you sure that both brake shoes move evenly and equally when you pull the lever? It sounds like one of the brake shoes is stuck somehow. These brakes are tricky to set up right, but not much harder to dial in than ordinary V-brakes, I think.
@@MindDesignFactory can these be installed without the mounting plate?
They could be installed with the plates, but they would loose the braking power then. The mounting plate serves as a support for the brake shoes to convey their stopping power to the rims.
How do you adjust toe in with these?
You can adjust toe-in just like you do with V-brakes. But as mentioned in the video, this brake seems to give the best performance when the shoes aligned parallel to the rim's braking surface.
