Anterior vs Posterior Hip Replacement Approach

The Anterior Approach is the only way to go for Hip Replacement, no restrictions, fast recovery, very little discomfort. If your surgeon does not do the Anterior Approach find another surgeon who does. It is a Hugh difference.

Unfortunately, husband is having posterior approach done today. Wish we had known to push for the anterior. He is 62, strong and healthy, so hopefully he will have a quick recovery.

I think the mechanics of posterior surgery have been transformed in the last 2 years. A non invasive approach has been developed whic does not need to cut muscles to do the job. Now both approaches are equally totally effective.

Some people are very lucky.I had Posterior hip replacement almost 3 years ago.and still have pain.im not over weight.very active..

Posterior thr two yrs ago.still can't walk/bitter as fck/ never again. T800AUST
