I’m on then fence on ordering one of these. How is the battery life? I have heard from multiple people that it never shuts off and only shuts off when you put the cover on. Is that correct? I don’t plan on using a cover on mine because I always want it to be ready all the time. Just wondering how long the battery will last before I have to change out. If it will last at least a year then I’m cool with that. Every 2 or 3 months then forget it.
It never shuts off … even with cover on .. the cover true purpose is to keep the red dot from fading out and keeping that bright laser strong so your able to see the dot through optic .. the cover is to protect and keep the strength of the red dot strong .. The dot is ALWAYS READY at all time .. it says I believe a year or two before battery dies , can’t recall .
I’ve got a shield plus performance 9 mm with the CT’s 1500. I bought it last year and I’m just now changing the battery. I’m going to say 8 strong months or more
How’s this compare to the holosun 407/507k? Holosun seems like it’s bout the most standard optic anyone uses anymore, I just wanna get an entry level red dot.
Yea . No cutting or adjusting . Take your optic and put it on right out the box or use the optic plate from your Canik box and apply the optic as I did .
I just got my CTS 1550 today and for some reason I can get it to zero. Super frustrated right now. I might have to send it back if I don't figure this out.

They make a Canik redot and it's much more expensive then this one but is really good with auto adjust.

Shake wake .. insert battery and stays on until you remove the battery .

If you don’t want a entry level optic such as the CT1550 .. yes Holosun is the way to go

Same. It cowitness out the box but depending on your set up it’ll take a minute to zero in. It may take a few trips to the range.
