Yeah you absolutely can use those $5 store coupons on anything I've done it multiple times it sounds like you just have somebody that is wanting to be difficult instead of helpful 😢 my local store is on a first name basis with me 😆
My store is FULL of employees that just want to be difficult. I try to chat with them and be as nice as possible, but it seems like they just hate me 😞

2 of the stores will only let you use the RR if you have those items also one of my stores you must use the full value I tried to purchase some feminine spray for $4.75 and added a candy bar so my total would be over $5 she would NOT let me use it I had to go back add the small panty liners for $1.29 she’s normally nice but said they have been told to make sure the products match the coupon some associates are just nasty but keep couponing and saving your family money

I have the same thing happened to me here in Hawaii at one of my stores. I personally walk around the corner scared her and told her if there was a problem. She said oh no I said then why the heck are you following me I then had customer service on the phone explain to them what is going on and they did call and speak to her. She said she was just checking the shows to see if it was stopped or not. My response you're full of crap. She does not do that anymore. She speaks nice and asked if I found everything that I needed yes I did and I'll be back Friday. I refuse to have the cash in this thing that they can do what they want when it's our money that is being used to pay for the products that we want. Keep doing what you're doing and don't let them get the best of you or bring your spirits down. Kill em with kindness

Cashiers at my stores read the dang register rewards before even trying to scan.
