- More than half of the Gaza Strip's population has sought refuge in Rafah, where Israel is conducting near-daily raids as it prepares for a full-scale ground invasion.
Meanwhile, Canada, the U.S. and 16 other countries have issued a joint statement calling for both an immediate ceasefire and the release of all of Hamas’ hostages.
As Mike Armstrong reports, every day without a ceasefire compounds the suffering for both civilians in Gaza, and families of the hostages.

The creation of Israel after WW2 was wrong. Pushing people off their homes because of some old ancient book is ridiculous. Religion has caused much more harm than good. If all the religious people were so committed to the positive values of their respective faiths and disregard the bad, why don’t they push for peace? This is about money and power, not some holy land.
What has China 🇨🇳 helped the people affected by the devastating Hamas-Israeli conflict,

@@worstknightmayor4439 I'm a veteran of the CF (Afghanistan combat veteran) and volunteer my services to my good friend/dr providing therapy to veterans/first responders. Before joining the military I was a firefighter/medical first responder; I definitely know real canadians...

@@Rocksteady-hl2ks Helping veterans and serving as a first responder are noble acts, but i'm not sure why you felt the need to mention your own military background given that it's a war for another country ie USA which turned out to be pointless expenditure.
With that said, you can still voice against human rights violations around the world and still be a real Canadian.

Hamas miscalculated the response, so did ISIS before that in other parts of the Middle East. So did Saddam in Iraq. Lessons not learned in the Middle East.
