This is a great looking sled! Im confused by AJ's review of the cobra 1.352 track as I heard great things from many people on how it is pretty good off trail.Maybe it's not enough for the power in this particular engine? That would be my guess. Also depends on what someone means by off trail,in my case it's just venturing off onto an old logging rd not necessarily climbing large hills .All in all I like this sled ,especially the looks and colors
It depends on where you're at. I'm in the Rockies so the powder is very dry and low density...the 1.25" on my Sidewinder is worthless off trail. Typically running 2.5-3" lugs on 154-174" tracks out here if you regularly go off trail.
Have 1.352 on my assault and it does great off trail... I can run withy 1.6 friends and do what they do. But my assault is 100 lbs lighter than this tank
Wow they just made a video putting in wrong information it’s in a cross action uncoupled skid and 1.6 lug different steering ergonomic etc etc… but thanks for reviewing it’s a good looking unit
Yup, we sometimes do make errors and don't catch them until it is too late. Result of doing an unscripted presentation. This sled does have the CROSS ACTION which is in the RIOT. Just got mixed up while drawing the comparison to the TCAT. Thanks for catching that. We've provided the correct information in the video description so let's see how many more comments we get about this...
Let's be honest no matter what length skid or paddle is on that thing the turbo four strokes are just to heavy to be that great off trail. Can they do it set up right? Sure but 200 lbs lighter in a 2 stroke helps sooooo much to keep you on top of the powder and once you sink in a turbo sled you realize exactly how much heavier it is. My turbo 1100 cat stays on the trails and lakes.
Really?,,does the RAVE have EPS, ATAC style adjust-on-the-fly shocks and a 205 Hp engine? Appears that this sled offers more premium equipment than the RAVE. No comparison.
Cat builds a Riot, as a crossover sled... Drops a trail engine in it, and puts a trail track underneath it... Does this make any sense to anyone? This is why I sold my Cats and bought Polaris sleds this season. They simply don't listen to their customers, and instead, continue stepping on their own dicks.
You guys are sooo bias. For Polaris I have to unsubscribe,I cant watch anymore, you guys think Polaris is better then anything, your wrong,I've had two Polaris fourwheelers, got rid of them went back to honda,Honda, to a cat sled, Polaris reliability is horrible
Every manufacturer produces various engines with a wide range of power levels. Chose the sled that best suits your abilities/experience. It all comes down to the riders ability and their common sense. I don’t think “too much power is a big problem for most riders” at all. I think irresponsible riders are the biggest problem in many ways. The snowmobile only does what it’s told to do.

The Riot comes with the 1.6 Cobra track!
Check it out online. It also comes in a red version!

The size of that windshield explains the global shortage in plastics!
When riding 200+ miles in a day, that tall windshield sure is awesome!😁

How do you like that one piece suit? Does the hood get annoying at high speed?

You guys should do a review on the pro rmk with the 650 in it for all those people looking for a mountain sled but doesn't need the big 850
Riots are not slide action, they are cross action. The front arm is fixed to the tunnel. And the skid is uncoupled, where slide action is coupled.
Correct. Attempted to do an off-the-cuff, unscripted presentation and made an error. Thanks for catching that.

They also offer the 9000 riot with a 1.6” 146. Would that help the off trail?
I have a friend with s Sidewinder with the track you mentioned and he said it's pretty good
better than 1.3 but not much.. This thing does NOT belong off trail by any means.
146 with 1.6 is an animal off trail. No issues what so ever. I have an xtx with same 146 skid and 1.6 track and no issues going anywhere.
Any reviews on the assault boost with 2inch track?
Don't have any early season reviews. I think we have one on order for next season so this will likely be an in-season review.
Why didn't they put it on a alpha skid? Scared it will eat it????
Funny how they don't call it a 998 turbo
Since you claim its a trail sled. What's the difference in ride on the trail compared to the Thurdercat? Seat, stability, bumps, etc??
This answer might be too big for one comment. Sounds like it would be an awesome in-season comparison for the show though...
