Audioslave was LEGIT!!! Not one bad song on any album. For what they did, they gave me everything I like about music; hard-hitting funk/rock grooves. Chris’ lyrics still shine through with Audioslave. To each his own, I guess. It is what it is.
Yea i hear what JB says about the two sounds coming together are stronger separate but Naaah I had a blast listening to their 1st and 2nd album, had my any fillers in them
@@marylandstationmusic9422you should definitely check out their 3rd album!!! Not the heaviest stuff they ever did but their funkiest!!! Example: Jewel of the Summertime!!!
When Chris wrote show me how to live he was a raging alcoholic and coming out of depression from Layne Staley's death. You're bugging if you think it was formulaic and a product of the time. No one sounded like audioslave at (or since) that's what makes them so special
OK, I have been a sub for a while, and just a little word to the wise for the guy on the left that never seems to like anything. It’s OK to act like you like something every now and then. The fact that you never seem to like anything and seem bored and disInterested on every review doesn’t make you more of a knowledgeable music source. let’s try having a good time every now and then and not being so grumpy. :-) Life is too short. Let’s have some fun. Geez.
I think the second you start expecting a certain sound (Zach’s voice on Rage Riffs ) you are doomed to be underwhelmed. For me Audioslave is great band and that first album is straight up classic. And people who think Audioslave is cookie-cutter butt rock from early 00s, they could not be more wrong. But, Music’s subjective and you guys kept it honest.
Sorry mate but this is the type of stuff you dont hear with pssy A** head phones. You got to feel the vibration in your whole body with some savage speakers.
i feel like show me how to live is audioslaves RATM song and shadow of the sun is ther soundgarden song. thier true identity comes through on songs like i am the highway, like a stone, be yourself, what you are
BTW…..this is Audioslave not RATM. Not meant to be a Zach replacement but an entirely new frontman and sound. Also this song is about Frankenstein’s monster. The “nail in my head now show me how to live”. CC stated that in an interview, it’s not a guess. Also I originally thought the song had a deeper meaning because I misunderstood the lyric but no it’s just a little ditty about Frankenstein and his monster.
i gotta say i love audioslave but it may only be because of cornells voice. JB does have a point that cornells voice just doesnt match rages sound that well but idk what people expected.. were they expecting chris to rap?? like idk i love rage on their own and im just a huge fan of cornell so i like anything he sings on, even if the backing music doesnt match that well.. you should check out younger chris in soundgarden like "spoonman" or "outshined" or even older chris when he calmed down and got his old sound back like when he covered "nothing compares 2 u" or when he performed "call me a dog" live acoustic and he absolutely kills it. maybe itll have better chemistry together for JB to finally say he likes a cornell song 😂
I've watched quite a few a few of you guys reviews and I'm not sure if the dude on the left is trolling or not. Like he's trying to be the guy that doesn't like stuff or whatever... But he seems to not enjoy music in general...
Gents without a doubt very talented on another level was Chris Cornell, a sad loss to the music industry. As was Chester Bennington. My absolute favourites from Audioslave had to be I Am The Highway and Like A Stone. Chris's vocal range on this track is amazing
Sure bro, JBs not trying to say we make better music just that so far he aint heard anything better as a union than their other personas , guess Audioslave just aint his flavour ruclips.net/video/3Q7vP-fe-y8/видео.html
Jinjer have a great drummer, he plays open handed jazz beats in a metal band. The guitarist and bass player are a solid riff unit and the singer is on another level. Their video for Vortex showcases Vlads love of odd time signatures. I've never been a fan of Soundgardens drummer he is mediocre to say the least. Love the bands though.. Love from the North East
Hey man, would you guys consider doing a Maryland local band that isnt around anymore? They were Rap/Metal and they kicked ass! Would be willing to pay a subscription for this.
I agree Rage is better and it is kind of weird that I like every instrumentalist more in Audioslave than I do Soundgarden but those groups are kind of a wash for me it is very close. I think it is really just that Rage doesn't particularly compliment Chris Cornell in the same way they do Zach. The Bassist is very good but he doesn't stand out in the same way in this group in my opinion. Rage creatively had jazz and funk vibes going through their music to a much larger degree where it is very subdued and alt rock in Audioslave.
I love this one myself. I go alot heavier now days but i go to it every once in a while. And his riffs dont do much for me. It just sounds like rage and im not much a fan honestly but i love Cornell.
This was a BA song, like 15 years ago, you guys should react to teardrops or join the club by bring me the horizon. Say days ago by the used is also a good one
How about Dave Grohls drum riffs from Nirvana? Have you heard of their songs ie. Dive, Sliver, Been a Son, or live Aneurysm. Or most of The Perfect Circle drummers in the first album Mer De Noms. Specifically in the first track The Hollow but I think they're all great. I say this because ive also played drums myself for a long long time.
I never understand these comments! They go into all the other music of Audioslave or whoever, when I can clearly see these reactors are not into it at all! These kinds of reactions I never subscribe to. This will always be the same kind of vibe I'm getting! Not really open minded to other kinds of genres! At least if you want subscribers, fake it til you make it! Not me, I see right through it!
Thing is the guys commenting probably know the channel and the dynamic me and JB have , someone just seeing one vid and not catching it from near the start would probably say what your sayin, but no faking it on this channel weather we make it or not
I'm with JB. I remember being so damn excited when I heard Chris was forming a band with Rage because I loved them both so much...and just found the music incredibly boring. Thought maybe there would be a blend of Rage and Soundgarden, but it was just typical Rage riffs with Chris crooning over it. Never thought it blended well.
I agree with JB and I think the reason I don’t like audioslave is the exact reason he said but I never realized it before. I love rage mainly because zack is so passionate, not only sound wise but also lyrically. And his sound fits so well with the rest of the instruments. Also as Charles said the drummer isn’t an “amazing drummer” but his sound fits perfectly with Tom’s style of guitar. They complement each other so well. And while I love Chris Cornell’s sound it just doesn’t hit the spot with the rage type sound as well as zack does.
Agree 100%. I loved rage and ultimately found Audioslave hugely disappointing when they came out. It's pretty by-the-numbers rock but with some cool riffs and some fun solos sometimes.
love the videos guys please keep them coming. can u please do some videos on the band RUSH. their drummer Neil Peart is my all time favorite and I think you will enjoy thanks
JB gonna hate the 80s sound of it but if he could just focus on Neil he will definitely be impressed. I suggested Subdivisions. My top track from them drumming wise. I can air drum the shit out of that song lol 💪I’ve listened to it so many times 🤣🤣🤣
Massive soundgarden and chris cornell fan. Also A big RATM fan. I gotta say, I'm with my man JB on this one. I really have always felt that audioslave was pretty mid. This supergroup has never done it for me.
😂😂😂 Chris Cornell at his peak, in one of his best vocal performances and popular songs, is boring, bland, unimaginative, and nothing special. How to say that I don't need to ever listen to one of your reactions again, without saying it. 🤡
Bro had a predetermined scowl as soon as the song started
🫵🏻😂
Stankface
No band had ever grown on me more over the years than Audioslave. Didn't appreciate them enough when they first came out.

Video is from a 1970 movie called 'vanishing point' about a cross country car chase. They inserted the group clips into that movie.
Bit of trivia.

That opening riff is awesome.
Wow. Man you’re are soooooo wrong on this. It’s just not you’re thing. This song is dope. Total groovy and Chris voice is unmatched
The unimpressed artist act is hilarious.

for real. if anything is cookie cutter its modern music
Sorry mate but this is the type of stuff you dont hear with pssy A** head phones. You got to feel the vibration in your whole body with some savage speakers.
Audioslave self titled album is the best rock record of early 2000
I'm high af and that opening fight has me dead
I'm fighting for my life!
😁
I forgot how nasty the bass is. Wow
You, to the left in the video, tried your best not to like it. But it's impossible to not like this.
i feel like show me how to live is audioslaves RATM song and shadow of the sun is ther soundgarden song. thier true identity comes through on songs like i am the highway, like a stone, be yourself, what you are
Ok now try Soundgarden’s Louder than Love album. Listen to the first two tracks and you will be hooked.
Only soundgarden album I haven't heard I think, charles

He may be the only human on the planet who thinks Chris Cornell is bland.

A Jeff Jarrett guitar shot would've ended that fight real quick lol
lolol Bro called the song bland - share your own better work!
Rosetta Stoned - Tool. One of the greatest musical “experiences” produced by the band.
Fantastic - but only WITH lyrics for the reaction^
Wow, ambitious!
The movie is Vanishing Point.
