Whether you just sow it on, or use velcro, you still have to sow the velcro at a minimum into the canvas. I guess with velro you can poke less holes and rely more on the adhesive of the velcro. Am I thinking about that right? What is your recommended route?

Thanks for sharing, do you think it might work if we hem the screen and then use a hot glue gun to attach to the canvas?
We were worried about it coming off because of the constant pushing in and folding of the canvas part.
What is the purpose of the hem in the screen ?
To make the edge stronger. Otherwise the whole screen will slowly fall apart.
