Stephen Chow (director and star of Shaolin Soccer) is at it again with his newest action-packed and comedic martial-arts adventure, KUNG FU HUSTLE. they are even able to cite the techniques each other is using, showing they are all well studied, not just in their own styles but in many forms of Kung fu,
showing how truly 3 of a kind they are! :O

All things considered, this is one of the best “fight” sequences of any martial arts film, IMO.

The only way anyone would say that is if they've not seen a single decent martial arts movie in their lives, not to mention, they'd also have to miss THIS movie in its entirety, because the fight between the Beast and the Land Lords, the Land Lords and the Musicians and the Beast and Sing are all superior to this one - OBVIOUSLY.

I think it had to do will level of experience. Coolie was the youngest, spear guy the second oldest and the tailor being oldest of them all. Coolio dies first because though he may be a master he is still. A young master at that. The tailor dies second cause he is older. Experienced,but not as young as he used to be and dies trying to save the spear man. Being the only thing he can do. And spear dies last cause he has the experience to Match his youth and is some what able to deal with the assasins thoug failing. Do to the fact the assassin are just stronger then all of them
The zither guys were assassins not duelists. Assassins always try to fight by surprise

He's called a Sacrificial Lion. It means a strong character who got killed of relatively early to emphasize the threat level of a villain.

While you're at it, why not say 'karate, hungkuen and capoeira'? Because that's about as accurate. Only hungkuen is accurate.
