Sends and busses in Logic Pro X are crucial to speeding up your workflow and overall are just good things to have a solid understanding of. Sends are uses mostly for adding effects such as delays and reverbs. The cool thing about sends is that you can have more control over how your effects sound.
Another reason to use sends is that they allow you to quickly add the same effect to multiple different tracks. This helps on things like vocals. When you have a verse and a hook recorded on two separate tracks then you can use sends to effect them both the same way without having to add anything more.
