- Kyle finally got to show me one of the longest flow trails in the world in Santa Cruz, Ca! It was a little bigger ride than we anticipated but the way down was so much fun! Definitely a must ride for anyone passing through Santa Cruz!

Yeah we commonly refer to that climb as “Suffer Springs” 😂😢
That sounds more correct hahaha
@@kwarnermtb you two should definitely do Ridge Trail next time. It’s a bit spicier than Flow, but a great way to get the blood pumping before dropping in to either Flow or Braille.
When my son was 13 I could barely get him interested in mtb. After I took him on this trail, it’s all he wanted to do!
That’s so cool! It would be such a fun experience as a kid, especially with all of the huge redwoods!
Hot diggity! That looked like fun. That's the kind of ride that runs through my dreams for weeks after. Thanks for the great vid.
Very dreamy 😍
Climbs like that are why I absolutely LOVE my eMTB! There's no reason anymore that any trails should be off limits to ebikes in 2023. I'd love to crush this blue trail because it just looks fun!
The Ridge trail is Worth the joy. I will be riding that this week!
Hey guys if you enjoy this ride so much you should make your way up to Revelstoke in BC at one pinot, 8.6 miles long and 5485 feet of elevation, called 5620 !! Most of the climb is via chair lift but the last roughly 1600 feet are leg power ... ;). Great video as always !!
Hope while out here you also traveled up the coast a bit to Pacifica/Montara!
April is looking so clean and taking on some serious routes..
Thank you!
So nice to hear from you both, have fun 😊
this looks like it might be the nicest trail made. this is a bucket list must
This is my first choice of MTB ride!! I need practice to become a better descender! (I'm a terrible descender and wish to ride like you guys!!)
Ahhh man love that trail! Back when I used to live in the bay, that was my go to place. Thank you for bringing back awesome memories, amazing adventures guys!
That made me a little home sick! They added that trail after I moved. I got to ride Brail Trail with one of the builders before it was official, sooo much fun!
The first time I went there I started from the ridge trail and it was so fun! climb was long but worth it.
thanks for sharing,...you guys are awesome!!!
That was a great trail. When I first saw the title I thought you guys were riding Santa Cruz bikes. I have a Santa Cruz tallboy. Thanks for sharing the fun. I wish we had trails like that here on Long Island.
Another great video my freind. Good luck on. your new adventure you are taking on this year
Dale
That’s one cool trail!
So fun!
🇺🇸 Excellent & She did extremely well⭐, I've watched since ya first started Jumps and impressed how you've applied Jumps into flow trails now. 👍🇺🇸
Awesome video as always guys! With April’s progression it’d be awesome to see you guys go back to that trail in a few years and both go close to full speed and see the progression from this trip
That would be cool, it’s fun going back to spots and seeing how much you’ve improved. It always feels like you are going faster than you are and then you watch the video haha But Kyle’s tips at the end of the video of looking ahead really helped and I was automatically faster with that.
@@kwarnermtb totally! I’ve recently been working on looking ahead on fire road rut tracks and have definitely felt the difference. However I know how it feels to be slower in the video than how you feel you are going haha
💪🏾 This was a great ride, awesome job guys 🤙🏾looking forward to the next vid 💯🔥
Thank you!
Cool vid! I live less than an hour away from this trail but still haven't ridden it lol. I'll definitely ride it sometime this year.
Haha you have to ride it for sure!
Many trips to Whistler trained me to ride just outside the main line on any trail for a clean line. That and Karver told me to do it as well :D
Great riding and great video. Happy weekend
Thank you 😊
You are welcome
I love you guys! This was just what the doctor ordered! What a great flow trail! Both of you are a fine example of poetry in motion! Keep up the great vids and remember to have fun! Thanks!
Thank you!
It’s aight
Great stuff! I have to ask, what mic / dead cat are you using? ZERO wind noise on the footage was impressive.
Thank you! We are using DJI mics with with fuzzy wind screens amzn.to/40UjLN2
My favorite trail of all time. The climbs are brutal though
So brutal! You forget about it until the ride out haha
What a fun video! When you guys go back there next time, do Cussak's up to Ridge, and then try our Braille and Sawpit. Both are fun.
Funny story, when I got into mountain biking, I joined a group ride and it was to Demo Soquel - it was my first experience riding singletrack. I had fun even as an absolute newbie to MTB. :)
Thanks for the tips!
Great video guys!! I guess Demo Forest is open now after storms?
Not sure, we filmed this just after thanksgiving
NO. It's still not open as of September 2023
A eBike would help with the climb 😂 you could go longer & faster covering more distance in the day.
Also this vid clearly shows why a gimbal is still needed with a GoPro. The Insta 360 oneR would be a smoother option for April 😁👍
Awesome ride 👍😁
Oh I wish I could have used the e bike on the climb, but the downhill was more fun without the weight.
Gimbal is better, but my harness thing probably wasn’t tight enough too. I guess you have to crank them down to the point of being uncomfortable haha
E-bikes aren't allowed in the demonstration forest
nice
Thanks!
Great video as always. It's a fun trail to ride but I just hate the 5mi climb in and 5mi climb out. :( If only they allow e-bikes. hehehe... Will you come back to do Brail trail one day?
An e-bike would make the climb more enjoyable haha not sure if or when we will make it back.
Perfect place for a lightweight Emtb - take a bit of the sting out of the climb
It would be nice, Emtb is not allowed there though
Half the riders are emtb now
You deserve more subs
Thank you!
ЗАЧЕТ!!
where did you guys park?
there is a main parking lot right at the start of the fireroad but we parked just below where the bridge crosses from pavement to dirt.
Where is this trail?
Do U use microphones? Your speeches were quite clear except the video's quality, unfortunately.
Hi Kyle, Was it NEW Evoc Ride on you? Thx a lot
Yes we do! Sorry about the video, it was quite dark in the forest and time of day. Also Kyle’s video is better than mine; since his setup is better, but more risky to ride with if you crash. So we did try to use his more than mine.
@@kwarnermtb Thx a lot for your content. I am watching your videos not only due to quality, but also for your manner of speech or ability to explain something, potentially useful for riding are definitely suitable for me.
Hello from snowy Russia
My backyard. Braille is super fun, but chunky!
Are you guys going to Sea Otter this year?
A little chunky haha
We are still trying to figure out sea otter plans. Right now we both will probably be there thur-Fri and I might stay for the weekend while Kyle goes to his best friends wedding.
We will be Thu - Sun I think. Joyce and I would love to say hi, but know you guys will be super busy.
Awesome ride. Would you say full face is recommended for this trail?
Thank you! I would say a half shell is good for this trail since there is quite a bit of climbing and the downhill isn't really technical, but more flowy.
Ok
how come its kyle and april video but it aint on their channel, stolen vid?
Ebike
is for sissies
hopefully you didn't just ride this 6 months ago. It's been close since our winter storms.
I think we rode it in December of 2022 if I remember correctly just before all the big winter storms!
Why you going so slow
Props if you have some more speed on this trail! We were just enjoying the ride and checking it out for the first time, I’m sure there are some really fast strava run videos out there.
