my 4 year old daughter who goes to a Montessori n South Africa was telling e the names of those shape. I was so impressed, I didn't even know geometric solids. keep up the good work guys.

I am taking my students to a children's museum on the 10th and I am going to teach these lessons to them. I teach in a public school and the lessons for geometry is not as fun as this lesson! Thank you.

What age do you typically introduce the geometric solids. From Dr. Montessori's literature I garhered that I should give them to 12 and 24 month toddlers to get farmiliar with the dynamics of the shapes and learn to trace with their fingers. Is that correct?
It is possible to introduce these shapes to toddlers. At the 3-6 level, they are the first lesson in the study of geometry and can be introduced to children who are three years old. They are also used in the lower elementary level. .
@@MontessoriLive thanks for replying. I've read Dr. Montessori's material and a few other books, but I definitely don't really know what I'm doing. Do you have any videos on teaching 12 months- and 28 month olds? As well as must have learning materials for them?
@@isabellyshelly8276 Hi, Our programs focus on early childhood and elementary levels. Unfortunately, we do not have a program for the toddler level.
