Geometric Solids : Sensorial Lesson

Sensorial Lesson: Geometric Solids. In this lesson thd children learn about three-dimensional forms.
The first lesson introduces the sphere, cube, and cylinder. Following lessons introduce the cone, rectangular prism, triangular prism, ovoid, ellipsoid, square-based pyramid, and triangle-based pyramid.
The children learn the names of the forms and become familiar with how each form feels.
Some games the teacher plays with the students include identifying the forms while wearing a blindfold or finding a match for the forms (for example, the teacher holds up a sphere and asks a child to bring her something sphere-shaped and the child brings her a ball).
