- We visit the Keweenaw Peninsula for a few days of snowboarding. The riding starts at Mount Bohemia, a place known for its ungroomed terrain and backcountry riding. The Mount Bohemia powder is all natural snow with the Keweenaw Peninsula averaging over 270" per season. The large amount of runs and terrain leads to endless riding adventures. To let you know, this place is a ton of fun but it is not for beginners!
Next up we head to Hancock to ride at Mont Ripley. This unique skill ski area overlooks the Keweenaw Waterway with views of Houghton and Hancock, including the lift bridge connecting the two. Night riding at Mont Ripley is a must! To go along with the snowboarding and skiing, there are also tubing runs at Mont Ripley.
Both Mount Bohemia and Mont Ripley led to an amazing snowboarding adventure in the Keweenaw Peninsula.

Cant wait to ski and board it in Jan!!!!
This is cool. Brother out law (divorced from sis) was the "white hat" on the building of that place...people were setting out Indian arrowheads, etc..trying REAL hard to not let that place be built! (Bohemia) The night skiing is just gorgeous!
At most hills i have one or two favorite runs. At bohemia every run is my favorite run and it changes every time. Mt Ripley is great too good choice.
Both fun and very different!
