A Shame that there's no sound,,... awesome footage though and I love the restored Control room gear, now that's something I'd like to visit. P.S Footage from the movie, Apollo 13.
You notice how in present day NASA you have digital numbers and live videos on the main screen. Back in the sixties it was two globes and two lines connecting or line graph. The old manual typewriters to take notes. Pretty 😎
I think it was Scott Manley who did a video about how the displays on their consoles were created. Absolutely incredible...and primitive. He also explained how the projection screens worked but that went in one ear and out the other. Think I'll have to watch that part a couple more times. Such a shame they've put modern hi-res LCD screens inside those consoles.
Hi resolution LCD screens inside the original consoles/workstations looks sh.t. The actual story behind how the pictures for their CRT displays were produced is incredible and I'd imagine the result was very low resolution/sharpness.
Just gotta love that everyone had his own ashtray 😂
Love seeing the restored MOCR2!
Always a treasured event Godspeed Sincerely from LarryWhittington 😁👍🇺🇸
