Dude you rock! Mine started acting up and I watched a few videos on how to take the shield off, pull the reservoir and replace or clean the sensors. The “easier” said to drain the reservoir and pull the sensor from under the truck. It’s 15 below here and there was no way either was going to happen! Your video came up and you saved the day! Toothbrush taped to a stick for the win!
it's been year & dealership was asking to replace it.i knew there will be some one with magic trick so after surfing lot of videos.i find you.The magician ❤. first thing I will do tomorrow morning. ❤
You sir, are a GENIUS. I just fixed my 2003 Toyota Sequoia. Removed the filler spout, stuck in my stupid-looking toothbrush in a rubber hose tool, and scrubbed. Then I blasted the old fluid out by high pressure hose, and NO IDIOT LIGHT!!! Thanks a million!
2008 Ford Expedition - I taped an old toothbrush to a coat hanger - and followed your instructions - scrubbed the bottom of washer fluid fill up tank - and the washer fluid low warning light - is GONE !!!!!!! Thank You - for the video.
I purchased a new sensor and gasket. Went on RUclips to watch videos about how to install. Came across your video and once I realized how much work was involved to replace it I decided to try your way first. IT WORKED! Thanks, you saved me so much time.
Back in my day when you pushed the button and no fluid came out you knew it was empty.. seriously though my 2017 titan just started doing this shit a few months ago and seeing the light on my dashboard is annoying
Excellent. Saved me all kinds wok on 2008 DTS. I used a 3 wire romex as the cadillac resivoir makes a couple curves n the outer yellow cover or romex acted like the toothbrush in this video
will this same method work on a 2008 Chevy Silverado? thank you brother for any info that will help, this washer fluid low 🔅 on my dashboard is driving me crazy! it's all filled up and topped off with windshield fluid,
Thank you so much Work like a charm, that windshield has been irritating me so much , I use rain x i new sensor wasn’t bad 2018 ram 6.7 turbo diesel dually with 35 k miles pays to research thank you again brother,Stay blessed king
Worked for me 2011 ram 1500 I waited for mine to be empty Dipped the toothbrush contraption into some fresh (regular) washer fluid and scrubbed the sensor a few times. Refilled and no more warning
I got same problem with my 2015 Subaru Impreza after it got empty and I refilled it with fluids then the shit won't go off. I will try your method and see if this works for me? Other people said, to buy a new sensor, take out the bottle and replace with new one but it's damn cold here in Minnesota right now and I hell don't wanna to do it. Thanks for the tip.
if you can't reach or get at the sensor, just try to add a cup or so of vinegar to the tank, and after driving around for a while the sensor may register again. It worked for me at least.
I'll try that if this method does not work for me. I just ran into this issue yesterday after my tank got empty, sensor come up, added fluid and sensor did not turns off. Thanks. Good tip
@@caylee3277, Nope, I end up just unplugging sensor so the darn light disappear from the dash. I don't need the sensor to tell me when the tank is empty. LOL. I know it's empty when there's not fluids coming out .
