On this week's show, I put the WeCreat Pass Through Conveyor to the test with some pretty sparse results. I'm pretty sure that it's user error at this point but I will continue to try and report back as soon as I have it figured out.

You, Sir, are a better man than I am. You spent 2 days dealing with the frustration of the conveyor that, from all I could glean from the show, was not necessarily "user error" but was probably created by the incomplete setting data provided by We Create and by the lack of adaptability to other thickness material. Since you were only engraving and not cutting through the material, it seems as if the hard and fast thickness requirements might indeed be a design flaw. But, in this week of the Olympic games, I have to give you the Gold Medal for patience and perseverence. It was a great show and one that should give us all a moment of pause with new equipment. Thank you Ken for giving us your time and insight into this particular product. Since I have the D1Pro, I was definitely interested in how the conveyor would work with it. And until proven other wise, I think I'll not pull the trigger on this item just yet. 🙂

I'm not ready to put the blame on the manufacturer yet. If I was an expert in the field of pass through conveyor systems, I might be able to pinpoint where the flaw lies. For now, I'm pointing the finger directly at the guy who normally messes stuff up......me. LOL. I'm going to revisit this pass through in a couple of weeks and see if I can't attack it with a new frame of mind and some new ideas. Maybe go out to the shop for an hour each night and try something new each night until I get it dialled in. I will get it working, that you can count on. It's just going to take a little more time. Thanks for tuning in sir. I appreciate the gold medal. I will display it with pride. LOL.

I'll give you this Kenny... you are a glass half full kind of guy! I could see the frustration in your face, but I have no doubt you'll get this. I really hope it works out because I think this would be handy in sign making. I'll just bet that next week you'll make the announcement... "And There You Have It!"
Good luck and great show Kenny!

I'm going to step away from it for a little while Dennis and come back to it in a couple of week. Maybe a fresh outlook and a fresh set of eyes will be the key here. Thanks for tuning in and for the kind words on the show.

Great job Ken, I know that you like to figure problems out on the fly. I am sure you will come out on top of this.! Will be watching to see when you get it mastered. Thanks David

I'm not giving up on this one David. I feel it has a lot of potential in the shop for my laser adventures and I'm excited to get it up and running. You will definitely see here on the show when I do and I will be sure to provide all of my findings for settings and materials. Thanks for tuning in and for the kind words.

I bet the feed issue is going to end up being the same as engraving materials, you will need to test to find the best feed and tension settings. Did you think about setting up a start point on the feed side, maybe a block with a line on it. Put a matching line on the material. Then run a framing test and see if the lines match up when done. For more precision put a block on both sides. This will show if the material is out of alignment. Play with the tension until the lines match up when framing is complete. You might even want to think about building an infeed jig to ensure the material is always going in straight.

I agree with your method. I was trying that exact method for a while during the testing of this machine AFTER I messed up a bunch of engravings. LOL. It's a great suggestion and one that was working in showing me whether or not the stock was feeding in properly. I have some ideas to try and I will be revisiting this project in a couple of weeks. For now, I'm going to step away from it and come back to it when I'm less frustrated. Thanks for tuning in and for taking the time to leave your great suggestion.

I'm sure I will succeed as well William. Not every show can be a winner and not every show can be a roaring success. I try to keep my show as honest and realistic as I can and something fails, that's what the show portrays. I will get back to this in a couple of weeks and give it a try again. Hopefully the next show episode featuring the pass through conveyor will be a resounding success. Thanks for tuning in and for your encouraging words.

Don't worry, I'll find somewhere. I'm already thinking of a way to make shop made brackets for the extension rails. Who knows, you might see that on a Friday episode of the show. Thanks for tuning in.

Technology isn't my strong point, I can just about connect my phone to the TV. I'm sure you'll get it to work.

Technology isn't my strong point either Mark but I work through it and try and learn it. I have my kids to help me sometimes and I have to admit that on some things, I have to rely on customer support to help me through. I'm getting better at technology though. Thanks for tuning in this week.
