Don't forget that you can use the ash of war to escape gank pressure. Then turn around and charge right back towards them and use the follow-up explosion.

this is my absolute beloved sword. the look, the feel, the ash of war. THE DMG! it's all divine.
One of the only 2 ashes of war with golden wave that are actually doing damage on the final boss.😢 2-5K in 2 seconds is crazy. I normally dislike colossal weapons but this is great and the most fun in the series so far
I speced into it as my main build of the DLC and it was the best decision I made. I've just beaten Mesmer with it and I plan on carrying it all the way to the end most likely. It's just so unique in so many ways, it stands out even among the crazy weapons of the DLC. The lore, the unique arcane scaling, the fact that it uses a type of lightning we've never even seen before!

@@frankcrawley6632 It's not that I don't like Chase, he's very good at the game and doesnt seem like a d-bag irl, but his invasion videos are boring to watch because like the other guy said, at a certain point seeing Chase hide and switch his entire build again in half a second while he slaughters 40 Vig noobs over and over, it gets cringe.
this, milady, and fire knight GS are my fave weapons in this DLC, their movesets are absolutely godly and they are very versatile.
Fire knight short sword, aka big erdsteel dagger’s an insane weapon for pvp, won’t do as much AR as the ol’ erdsteel but it makes up for it by being the size of a longsword with the speed of a dagger. And it’s R2 is just 👌.

A couple things about this weapon. You can completely control the charge direction. The AoE is centered around you, not the sword. It's great for hitting people right when they try to heal.

This thing is a roll catch, gravity killing machine. Absolutely love this weapon.
You should try offhanding the colossal. No difference when you are two-handing it, but when one handing you get the backhandblade’s fast attacks but can still tap into big hyperarmor with an L1 swing if they try to trade expecting a little slash

Yeah, it was clearly two friends trying to swap weapons. Kinda scummy on Lost's part. Though I have no clue as to why they just stood there and didn't pick up the items. Some people just live perpetually in slow motion.

Another great invasion as usual :) Lost you you should try make a build with the Death Knight Twin axes the turn n burn you can do with them is crazy fun! some great flexibilty with strength n faith.
I don't know if it's a latency issue on my end, but the hitboxes for the sword of damnation are absurd. That ash of war always grabs people even mid dodge.

Are people saying this weapon is broken? Because it's not at all. FP cost is high, not much hyper armor on the Ash, it's a Colossal etc.

What level are the try hards actually playing at? Everyone was saying 125 is the meta for pvp but more and more i see videos with significantly higher levels
Are people actually staying at 125 to duel or is everybody quietly going higher (something that would make a lot of sense for this game)
Edit: i know this is an invasion video but at RL 168 can you even connect with 125? In ds3 invaders would target meta level

so isn't this a strength weapon? i have 70 strength and put 19 into arcane just for the prerequisite. is it worth to spread more into arcane as well?
also, it seems like you can delay the charge for a split second to roll catch because, quite frankly, it doesn't reliably combo.
i imagine the explosion of the skill scales off arcane to some degree since thats how it goes with a lot of weapons
