Thank you for the testing! Weird how on this router 5GHz radio seems to have better bandwidth stability than 6GHz with it being (as i understand) the whole selling point of the 6GHz radio. Still looks more stable than GT-AX6000 from the testing you did 6 months ago, however it does start to fall behind significantly more in terms of bandwidth as you go only a few meters away from the router. Somehow the choice between the two is still difficult.
I need to re-test the GT-AX6000 since some users have mentioned improved performance over the latest firmware updates. If you wish to use the 6GHz radio, there is a new series which may be better and more stable. I will get my hands on a few as soon as they're available in stores.
@@SamBondor i am considering getting a VR headset in the future and for that i would assume 6GHz radio wouldn't hurt, however the decision is not set in stone and therefore 6GHz is not a strict requirement. I also don't really want to go far too above 200eur in terms of budget with upper limit being around ~250eur and the new wifi7 options are significantly more expensive at the moment.
They're not terrible devices, but you can't really expect much from 'consumer-grade' hardware anyway. Also, always check other test sources as well because no testing methodology is without flaws..
I'm currently on my second Asus router with the replacement they sent me and my wifi 2.4 and 5g are STILL super flaky and disconnects completely after some time. I've found this issue across different forums and Asus doesn't seem to be addressing it?? My model is the ASUS RT-AX88U PRO
I used this router for some time and it performed decently well. I always suggest trying out an alternative software to when ASUS fails to address stability issues. If they're not from hardware, something like Merlin can potentially make the router better.

As amazing as the Asus routers are, unless you are forking out a truck load of money for a new Wifi 7 router all there other routers are like 2-3 years old and i don't want a 2-3 year old product lol...
Thank you for the testing!

aggregation of LAN ports maybe for hard-wired backhaul for Mesh mode?
Thanks for the great review of router. I always heard that Asus make great router but test results show opposite.

@@SamBondor I've never tried Merlin but I may give this a try if it's not too advanced in terms of setup.
Could you review this router I am thinking about buying it? Tenda AXE5700 Smart WiFi 6E Amazon
I feel WiFi 7 router rollout is very slow & we have to wait. Dont see the point of buying 6 or 6E now.
Fiber internet kullanıyorum bu ürünü alıp modem olarak kullanabilir miyim
Evet mümkün ama performansı iyi mi? Merak ettiğim şey bu

Also, do be careful that some of the new WiFi 7 ASUS routers do no support the 6GHz radio.
