  • Unedited lab notes, about 30 minutes of setup + early print, about 6 minutes of printing time-lapse, and 30 minutes of end of print + cleanup. It could be pretty boring at times, so I'd suggest watching at 2X. The camera was head mounted, so sometimes the pans are a bit too fast - apologies in advance.
Overall, the setup was quite fast and easy.

Hi James, if I'm only using 1 material for this printer, can I leave it permanently in the tank on the printer or we'll this have a negative effect? Have Form 3, only want this for high resolution small prints.

I do that and don't have any issues. Just make sure your seals are fitted properly and there are no leaks.

Any review (like somebody who looking for first 3D printer for home jewelry i have totally no idea about more deep infos and compare ) or article where i can find opinions about that printer? I was thinking about AnyCubic LCD Photon but i found that printer

Thanks a lot @James Kao, a hundred of thumbs up... appreciated it! My Bean is in my country, waiting for clearence for about 2 weeks :/. That's my first resin printer I'm working with FDM for about 4 years. This video was really helpfull to know what kind of post-processing tools do I need.
Which machine is that in minute 53? Is it an ultrasonic cleaner? And what kind of liquid is in that? I miss the audio in those parts... is it IPA or something else? I heard that IPA has a low ignition point and it's dangerous to use with ultrasonic cleaner, can you clarify it to me?
I'm thinking to make a side support (nylon) to attach build plataform on resing tank... to let the resin slide back into the tank - I saw it in a Wanhao D7 and I'm thinking adapt/create one to Bean environment.

It is an ultrasonic cleaner. It contains water with dish soap, and citric acid to prevent mold growth. The citric acid doesn't have any effect on the part cleaning, but when I use plain dish soap and water, mold will start growing after a week or two.

This was a Kickstarter project. I recommend not really bother yourself with it. It's really pain in butt

The Bean comes with a suitable soft scraper. My specific one is an OXO Good Grips scraper, www.amazon.com/OXO-Good-Grips-2-Piece-Scraper/dp/B00BSDP7FG

Hi James. I came back to check what is inside de ultrasonic cleaner in minute 58 to 59. It's water, soap and what kind of acid? You said that is to minimaze the amound of IPA alcool that you consume. Thank you one more time!

Citric acid, which prevents mold from growing in the soap.

Hi James - just curious on how you'd rate the Bean against the Octave Light? I absolutely LOVE the OL and have been getting some pretty incredible prints from it, albeit I've only used Charles's Strong resin he and his Uncle developed.

      @JamesKao3D  6 лет назад +1

Kevin Willey it’s a completely different class of printer, a few hundred bucks, no pallet, and uses only 100-200mL of resin at a time. You need to take the bottom-up separation forces into account when designing and orienting parts, but you can use a lot of different resins and try to match specific resins more closely with a specific project, whereas with the OL you really want a generalist resin.
You can print an unsupported inverted pyramid on the OL, you cannot with the Bean. However, you need multiple liters of resin to get started with a print on the OL, and only need 100 or so mL more resin than the volume of your object on the Bean.

Where can I buy more resin? I can't find any info on the included "green" resin.

I believe that is the same 3DSR resin sold in the Kudo3D online store.

James Kao the 3dsr uhr resin?

I don't think so, it should be the lowest cost one. Best to check with Kudo3D support to verify.
