First off Happy Birthday Felix!!! After that oh my goodness where to start? Being from Texas I know a thing or two about Texas Toast and yours went to a Spinal Tap Eleven! Dipped into the escargot butter and garlic it had me swooning! I'd have passed on the salad saving room for that killer ribeye which like Felix, is also my favorite cut of steak. And that crab mac and cheese would have put me into coma town deliciousness. Then came dessert with that bananas foster. Have mercy on a crutch! Which brings us to Da Vonne. YAAAAY! Love any time she's in one of y'alls video's. And lastly, the waiter/server, was world class. He educated, served, and cooked table side with flair and panache! Definitely worth over tipping to the max. Y'all's videos just keep getting better and better. Aloha and mahalo y'all!

I used to go here every time I went to Oahu. Always sat at the counter by Chef Hide. Always started with hamachi carpaccio and then ate other dishes until I couldn’t eat anymore. Two nights ago I went to chef’s new venture Izakaya Hideyoshi inside Osoyami Bar and Grill. Chef Hide still killing it. You should go.

The only time I ever ate in a restaurant as fancy as Hys was when I was 4, and too young to appreciate the experience. This video had me jonesing for escargot, and I haven't even tried it.......yet!

We had reservations to go here for our Anniversary. But due to covid restrictions and unable to leave our hospitals due to the mandated two week restrictions. Even after being vaxed we had to cancel. I know you recorded this a few weeks ago, so a belated Happy Birthday, Felix. Hope your hand continues to heal quickly. Thanks for the lesson in eating escargot. I normally just dunk the toast or bread into it and eat it right away, so it is nice to know how they do this in France. And my favorite "steak" is the Picanha, which I normally get at a Brazilian steak house. Crispy fat on the outside and juicy medium rare on the inside. Gosh I miss going to one of those! Happy Birthday! I’m glad you guys have showcased Hy’s. It’s been my favorite for decades. I remember going there long ago and seeing Audy Kimura play there. I also proposed to my wife at this restaurant. Great memories. I prefer steak that’s been dry aged. Preferably closer to the 2-month mark. While good marbling gives tenderness and great richness to a steak, a good dry age brings out a complexity to the taste which is amazing. Question for you and the Ohana: how do you prepare and cook your steaks?

I know you recorded this a few weeks ago, so a belated Happy Birthday, Felix. Hope your hand continues to heal quickly. Thanks for the lesson in eating escargot. I normally just dunk the toast or bread into it and eat it right away, so it is nice to know how they do this in France. And my favorite "steak" is the Picanha, which I normally get at a Brazilian steak house. Crispy fat on the outside and juicy medium rare on the inside. Gosh I miss going to one of those!

Happy Birthday! I’m glad you guys have showcased Hy’s. It’s been my favorite for decades. I remember going there long ago and seeing Audy Kimura play there. I also proposed to my wife at this restaurant. Great memories. I prefer steak that’s been dry aged. Preferably closer to the 2-month mark. While good marbling gives tenderness and great richness to a steak, a good dry age brings out a complexity to the taste which is amazing.
Question for you and the Ohana: how do you prepare and cook your steaks?
