Yes, a long side-table would fit in perfectly! Would add to the regency vibe of the original Emma 2020 inspiration too, they have those a lot in stately homes
Oohh I was just going to comment something long and not additionally frames would be cool, but I couldn't conceptualize it. Even if not a bench like a tiny floating shelf for knick knacks. For some reason in my head I wanted to just pop a bunch of really cute, colorful or sculptural drawer pulls on the wall? Just like, decorative sticking out sculpture bits? But that also seems silly.
I loved the scene of you sitting in the garden with your kombucha about to plan out the frames. It was like something from a coming of age film. Really peaceful but also funny
At first...I said "No way" to expanding the gallery to the floor...but then I laughed and thought of your kitty cat pausing to admire the art at his (her?) eye level. Go For It!
It looks great! No more art at the bottom - but if you have three or four little pieces they could be arranged vertically at the left of the doorway opening.
Keep the art on the top....it may be too busy if you cover everything...your home is coming along quite well...I've just subscribed after a year of checking your feed...a great adventure
Absolutely stunning (not that I expected anything else)! I'd hold off from putting up art in the lower boxes - it might not be convenient when you or your pets are waking past it and also, it might take away from how spectacular the two upper boxes look now. So just spend some time with how it is now and see if you still want to try adding more in the future! Can't wait for the next vid! 🤍
I’m just wondering what kind of friendship level you’re on with the hardware store staff? Like first name basis, know a little about their lives, pets names…?

It's super empowering watching you learn as you go and begin to tackle more and more elaborate projects within your home. It's looking absolutely stunning. I'm blown away by you!
I used to watch This Old House with my dad when I was a kid and for some reason this series brings a feeling of nostalgia that reminds me of that. Except, obviously, you use way brighter and happier colors than they did on that show! I love watching you do all these projects and see the joy it brings you when it's complete. It makes me want to take down the terrible, old, crumbling wallpaper in my room, patch the plaster up (because I know that's most likely cracking underneath the paper), and paint it! I cant wait to see each part of your journey with your house, especially the spooky room!
Right?!? I think it’s her vocal tone. She has such a calm voice just like he did. Made staining a deck a lot nicer to do if you had instructions from This Old House and their lovely music too!!
Wonderful job on the wall, it looks beautiful, lovely prints. Opinion - art on the bottom sections - I say No at this time. If you're making galleries on the other upper wall sections, it may be a bit much. Finish the rest rest of the room first, then decide.
You're simply amazing, Ariel. This is beyond fabulous! PS. I vote NO to adding frames to the bottom. I feel that the blank wall above & below brings focus to the interest in the middle.
100% SO important to consider the pieces as one large work! The spaces between the works is key to consider, but remember that this is also it's own work and we need to think about the relationship between the artworks in terms of their meaning, and their spacial connections!
I'd say instead of adding more art on the bottom wainscoting you should just put a little bench or console table? More art might make it busy, but also kinda harder to view bc it's so low? No matter what you choose though it'll be beautiful and we'll love it 😍
Well, count me tantalized. I’d love to see another video set in this room. It’s so great to see not only the tiny projects and the big transformations, but how the rooms are being used and being shuffled around in the interim. That has been the best part of this house journey you’ve been showing us for me. I have a sinking suspicion that were I to take on this task, I would just have boxes of my unpacked belongings everywhere as I ate out of grocery bags every day until I could get things done. But even if a room is going to eventually have a different purpose you seem fine putting in effort and time to make things nice ´just for now’. This has spurred me to do a few things in my own abode that have been little bits of joy in my days where I had always balked at the idea of doing something nice when there was something else bigger that needed doing. Thank you.
I'd love to be a fly on that wall when someone comes in who doesn't realize the tiny room in that frame is real, and they're like, wait what?! The whimsy is tantalizing! 🤗😊💕
I LOVE IT I AM OBSESSED WITH THAT GALLERY WALL. I love how all your finished room/corners look so intentional! It is so lovely to see a home that has such love and care put into it.
I love every video ariel does but I'm very excited for when the kitchen renovation video drops, this is the moment I'm waiting for (ps: some footnote art would be awesome)
I love that you pointed out the beautiful view from the pink/yellow room to the purple/green - that took my breath away!! Thank you so much for continuing to share your journey with this house, it’s so inspiring!
you're making such a beautiful and comfy place to live in! every project adds its own personality to the space while still having the cohesion of being utterly and joyfully you
I love these ‘smaller’ updates - makes taking on such a big project seem much more doable! It’s the odd jobs, the small steps over a weekend that add up to such a beautiful room. Now I want to add wainscotting all over my house! It’s been said by others but a thin side-table underneath the gallery wall would be a great place to display other nicknacks like those bowls you picked up. (Might even be able to store the other mini furniture in it if you found one with a drawer?)
huge fan of your cat waddling in, and out, of the room. edit: amazing video as always, well done on the beautiful wall! I personally like leaving the lower portion of the wainscotting clear, the way it is now, as it leaves a nice place for the eyes to rest.
I love your creative soul!! I love Thrift finds!!! I have what I now call my "Wall of Fancy"... (I got the name Thanks to Farmhouse Vernacular) ...I have Family pictures, Works of Art from my Children and Grandchildren and things I adore!
That was a fantastic outcome. Congratulations. For the two lower panels, my inclination would be for them to contain either two panoramas of a lake, or two panoramas of the leaves on a forest floor.
I am just in love with what you’ve been doing with your home!! It is SO different from my taste, but I am still obsessed. It’s like seeing your soul/personality/spirit in home-form. Is just gorgeous! And no, no art under this two amazing panels. The eyes would be drown all over the place, shadowing what is happening up on the wall.Plus all the hair from pets will stick to the glass and frames. I hope we will see soon the rest of this room, will be amazing, like always. ♥♥♥

I love that you are loving every space you work on. It’s a bit young and modern for me a times (middle aged n boring), but, this is YOUR home. And I love to see you love what you’ve done. And I do like most of it …. xxx
It looks AMAZING, and this is seriously encouraging me to get my gallery wall up finally. I do agree with A.D.'s comment that if you shifted the bigger oval frame higher and added another small frame under it, it would feel a bit more complete
I love the shot looking through the dining room window at you taking trim our of the car and then it pans around to you in the dining room! So cool! It reminded me of some scenes from Pride & Prejudice (2005). And the soothing music! Your videos are starting to become more and more like the films you love so much!!!
Eep, that is just STUNNING! 😍 Our plan for our hallway is 100% ‘fancy gallery wall’ and this was reallyyy inspirational. I just adore the fact that you’ve collected so many cute pieces over the years, makes it so much more special! 🥹

I agree with the others on leaving the other panels clear 😁 Always love your ideas and creativity. I always get super happy when I see that you've posted. All though I'm sure you're in desperate need of a break and I can't wait to see all the finished product as a whole I'm gonna be so sad when it's all done and there's no more fun house videos.
I too have a gallery wall full of all the art I’ve collected over my lifetime! It’s in my bedroom and it’s honestly such a joy waking up to every morning and looking at (my bed is strategically facing it hahaha) I’ll just stare at it forever and get inspiration for my own art. Loved to see yours come together, especially with the wainscoting!
When that final shot of the finished wall went up my jaw literally dropped and I can't remember the last time I've physically had that reaction. You are such an artist hard worker
I think the empty little oval frame would be perfect for a drawing or painting of your house exterior....it would be nice was to memorialize your home. Every time I watch your videos, I get the urge to paint a room in my house a fun color, then I remember that I have a tiny house and fun colors would be overwhelming....so glad you get to express yourself in such a creative way.
This series has been such an inspiration for me as my partner and I have just purchased our first home and it’s so overwhelming!! Your gentle slow approach to your home is my biggest inspiration!
I feel like I'm vicariously living through you. Knowing myself, I don't think I'd want to go to the extremes (in the best way) that you're doing to your house. For me, watching you work on your old house is helping me be motivated to figure out what to do with my house. Originally I was going to do whatever was cheapest, but now I'm taking my time to think about what I actually want and researching how to do it and the cost.
Absolutely beautiful as always. Some tips for anyone else looking to do mounding like this - you can usually use painters tape to hold pieces up if you don’t have an extra set of hands. If you don’t want to use a saw, miter shears are cheap and your best friend!
IDEA! That left corner of the gallery wall - on the left of the doorframe - FLOATING BOOKSHELVES!!!!!! ps congrats on that gallery wall - it’s absolutely gorgeous, Ariel ✨
The moulding looks like it's always been there, it suits the room so well. I like the art enclosed in the squares. I'm an artist and love collecting art, it's definitely special to have art up that you really love instead of the same old stuff anyone can buy. Looking forward to seeing more of the room 😊
That wainscotting looks SO GOOD. Love the proportions you chose. It is so pretty. 😍 And that gallery wall is effing gorgeous. Serious house inspiration for my own renovations.
Regarding your question about filling the lower sections with art too...you may want to consider that art hung that low down may get damaged by pets or feet, will collect more dirt/dust, and will limit your options with furniture placement should you want to rearrange the room. But your instincts with decorating have been so spot on, I would just go with your gut! Thank you for sharing your process with us, your videos are a joy to watch.
It looks a amazing and the wainscoting really makes the yellow wall more interesting by adding that texture and shapes. Even without the gallery wall it looked really pretty so the rest of the room will look gorgeous. Keep it up Ariel! I love that you are just doing what you want to your house rather than what’s in style and resell-able, your personality shines through and you really breathed life back into this house, im sure it’s glad to feel the love from you!
I love all your videos and the way you are renovating and redecorating your home. And this gallery wall is just chef's kiss!!!! I'm so glad I found your channel. xx
What a lovely video! I've been looking forward to this ever since you mentioned it in the miniature living room video. I would say no art in the bottom panels. That's going to be so far below eye level that you're going to have a hard time appreciating it, especially if it is post-card sized prints with lots of little details. If you do decide to hang art down there, maybe select bolder prints with large blocks of color, and not drawings with lots of tiny pen marks in grayscale. Hope that makes sense! I wonder if it would look good to paint the lower rectangles pink? I don't know the traditions of wainscoting though, perhaps that is not the done thing.
The amount of work in this!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻and the result couldn't be more beautiful Ariel, you have a great eye,and hand, for decoration❤️❤️can't wait to see the full dinning room!!
Yes!!! Put art in the lower panels! I think it’ll add to the wall! You could use one more miniature frame below the oval in the panel on the right also! It’s beautiful though! 💜💜💜
Damn, that looks good. You did a great job with the wainscoting. The gallery wall is spot on as well. I had forgotten that the room had all that horrible paneling. Your home is looking wonderful, you should be proud of all the hard work that you have put into it.
Can I say that you have most whimsical, beautiful and hopeful music? It just feels so perfect for your videos Ariel. Also, I feel like I never thought about wall detailing until I watched your videos. Now I want board and batten and wainscotting everywhere!
In august I spent every day or the entire month going to my neighborhood thrift store for a frame to fit one print I had. By the end of the month I found the perfect one! Glad you had some frame luck. I love watching this series so much, thanks for making it!
I think the best way too see if art would look good in the lower panels would be to cut out some appropriately sized pictures from an old magazine and then blu-tack them onto the wall the way you would maybe hang the art. Then take a few steps and see how it looks? If you don’t like it, no worries, the blu-tack won’t harm the wall and you can just throw the magazine cut-outs away! I love this series, by the way. I’ve started doing mini-projects around my place, which I rent. I’m not allowed to paint the walls, but I wish I could live somewhere as colourful as you! The palettes you choose are always gorgeous! Xx
What would look nice also is some of those small antique looking plates hanging on a wall mixed in with the pictures and/or framed mirrors...i did that on a wall and I like it a lot and those who come to visit stop to admire it as well..
Your home looks like such a joyful place. You’ve really created a beautiful space that balances serene and playful. I’m 40 and wanna be like you when I grow up haha Thanks for sharing your lovely space with us!

The reveal genuinely took my breath away and brought tears to my eyes. I love everything about this series. Thank you so much for sharing.
Just want you to know how precious this series is to me, been watching it with my grandma as she goes through chemo and she loves it too.
It turned out GORGEOUS!!
Ariel, you are amazing. Your enthusiasm is contagious :)
Slowly but surely you are getting there. WELL DONE!
Damn, that looks good. You did a great job with the wainscoting. The gallery wall is spot on as well. I had forgotten that the room had all that horrible paneling. Your home is looking wonderful, you should be proud of all the hard work that you have put into it.
You're such a joyful person, it makes me happy just hearing you talk about random stuff in such a grateful and full of love way
Can I say that you have most whimsical, beautiful and hopeful music?
Beautiful!! I’m always impressed w your vision and its application. Leave the art wall wall alone now. It’s perfect.
All your videos make me so happy!! I love seeing the house become so colourful and beautiful every video. The gallery wall looks great👏
That came out quite lovely.
