Nearl/Saria: S1 L7/S2 L7 or any high rarity Guards (requires a Medic).
Thorns: S3 M3. Essential to the layout. May work with Mlynar S3 with good timings.

I got the achievement with this strategy by bringing all the ambushers and used them to put out the other burning reeds

You need to place an operator on the fire for a certain amount of time to put them out but the timer doesn't reset if the operator is defeated or retreated so you can use fast redeploy to put out the fires over multiple deployments if needed.

Wonderful strategy. If you like, you can bring another ground operator to put the fire out of the reed in front of Thorns.
EDIT: You can actually place Thorns on the reed that is initially on fire and this strategy can still work. You may need some Potential though.

Yeah, putting Thorns on the initial burning reed worked better for me. My saria dies otherwise

Ntr can replace original nearl without medic wow (add caster to help deal more damage)
