So pokemon like flutter mane are essentially the names an explorer gave to pokemon they discovered in area 0.
They are the official names.
They are called paradox pokemon. there past/future pokemon brought to the present by the regions professor who was then subsequently horribly killed by them xD
Also feraligatr's name looks like that due to the character limit of the gameboy, they couldn't quite fit it so they ditched the O xD

So Scarlet and Violet introduced what are called "paradox Pokemon" which are ancient and future forms of existing Pokemon, but with different stats and typings. Iron Thorns is the future form of Tyranitar, which is rock/electric rather than rock/dark. Flutter Mane is the ancient form of Misdreavus, which is ghost/fairy rather than ghost. Roaring Moon is the ancient form of Mega Salamence and Iron Crown is the future form of Cobalion.

Flutter Mane is Misdreavus, this is a result of the Paradox Format which reimagines Pokemon in the past or future. Hope that helps boss
