Love the show! I over vegged a little over a month extra my photoperiods to finish my auto off. I am a first time grower so I didn't realize the difference at first lol but I love both! And it did give me time to learn to do lst correctly and get through a few nutrient deficiencies, how to handle gnats and now my plants have actually filled the whole net. Its weird how even different strains of photos can be so different in size and preferences of everything lol I have learned a lot in the last 3 months! I flipped to flower about 2 weeks ago and can't wait! I also got a better light so I figured let them have a chance under a real light and I think taking you're time has its benefits although I definitely wish I was in flower sooner. Have definitely loved learning and nurturing them. I also learned how to clone which took a very long time to get down lol have 3 little experiments going now so I had enough clones for mother plants and to share with family. It's a really fun hobby to say the least with either autos or photos. Its like a suprise with autos and I do prefer the control of photoperiods but I have seen a lot if beautiful autos and can't wait to try more!
I am running 4 Herbies Girl Scout Cookies fast flower photos. I am 21 days in, at 12/12. There was frost starting at 14 days. Bud hairs start turning orange around day 19. Great show and content.
top those gsc at 3 weeks in veg to get multiple tops. ifnot they grow like pines. cold weather makes them purple! 7 weeks best so far.and it is real nice!!

Grew berried in Detroit last run and had a pheno done by day 49 and she was amazing all frost and bud no leaf. My forst in counter with a true fast flowing strain. From Detroit seed co. Amazing under rated breeder imo
I'm growing 2 of the fast buds fast flowering cultivars. They advertise 6-7 & 7-8 weeks for flower. I'm at day 36, and it looks like they may finish within that time-frame. There is no lack in frost or terps.
Had 12 gorilla cookies fast version - good genetics, terps and really frosty but not stable every plant looks different, some of them finished after 9 weeks. Only one of them finished after 7 weeks
@alexparo1400 They are a cross between an autoflower and a photoperiod. All of the first (f1) generation are photoperiods. The subsequent generation is 25% autoflower 75% photoperiod. I believe that is why they stopped at f1. There will be a large genetic variation. I personally love that. I have 2 phenos of each cultivar. They are similar, but definitely different.
I like autos they can flower while you long veg that photo. To date the plant that still stands out to me in all the plants I have had the joy of growing was an auto(3 bears og by mephisto)
My plants this year flowered from the first week of August until the fourth week of October and they were still several weeks short of being done. Only about 40/60 clear / cloudy trichome's with no amber. But I took them until the first night of frost..
@@WheelgunsOnWheels Yeah both plants are good with over a pound each dry weight. Funny thing is they have almost no smell or taste and super smooth. Frosty though!
@@biggkidd71 did you let them dry real slow like 14+ days prior to cure and still no flavor? I’ve found a fast dry takes away all the good Terps but usually a long slow dry brings out the best they have to offer.
@@WheelgunsOnWheels Oh yeah I been playing this game over 30 years on and off. In fact I still have about a third of it hanging with over a pound of each already sealed away and refrigerated. I don't usually keep any past a year, so the fridge is fine.
I’m studying all cultivars. I not got to do anything shorter. Love u guys for really. I’m not about yeild but only for me I did long veg. Didn’t intend on this long. It has been more dollars.
Until about 2 years ago i thought everything less than 60 days was probably gonna be less then par for me. I now have a true 42 day cultivar and a crazy purple budded cultivar that is 49 days... so crazy
Cool topic. Timing that bloom period can be pretty tough when when the breeder or distributor says 64 days and you’re on day 74 without a single amber trichome. I used to stop feeding at 6 weeks but more often than not another 4 weeks transpire afterward. Feed to the end as long as it’s low in N.
I'd rather go that way than the other. Just got done with a Marshmello mountain (exotic genetics) that caught me by surprise. About 10% amber at 35 days! Didn't even make it to my final bloom nute ratio.
I've been growing for the past few years an everytime I wasn't happy with end product they were definitely auto then this year I grew ethos genetics an photoperiod plants an very happy with my results I haven't been to dispensary in 2 weeks an I'm normally there every other day buying a 8th or 7g lol an definitely just as good if not better. One happy guy here already started another run
I chose to use auto flowers and photo periods. Some auto breeds I have had have been huge and had great flowers. Yeah, I'll get a smaller yield yet, knowing that. I get more variety, and they're just fun! Also, I am staying below legal limits in vermont!
P. If the plant is done in 7 weeks then it's done right meaning. It's fully mature so I don't know how it would be missing anything like you said it would have more if anything.
I’m not into “flushing” per say, but I give pure/ph water from my ro for the final week. It saves money and I find that feeding to the end only helps marginally with my production.
Chris, do you run any nutes in your blumat resevoir? Water soluable? I tried it once at 1/6 teaspoon per gallon of what they say. I had fantastic results. I am going to try to follow that up a second time and maybe it can just let it roll kinda. I used that 20/20/20 crystal stuffs at 1/6 teaspoon per gallon. Its not that heavy. And ofc after 25days some cal/mag plus. I am trying for a KISS type setup with autos. Pretty much have it dialed in, I think. I should have more confidence after this next run. Mephisto gave me some crosses they want people to try. I have a few of those as this coming run. Should be fire, I hope.
I got two nyc diesel and one started flowering faster than the other I didn’t buy them as autos I think the taproot hit the bottom idk same medium and pot size
I need to find out a way to see what she is for sure. I knew little and still expanding. My bet is filled out. Full I am gud. She’s just going up. Solid looking. I am in awe. Good info.

I’ve grown both and I will never grow another photo. Again. With autos, you use half of the nutrients and finish up in half of the time typically and in most cases double the yield
one that i just tried is the brunch (PBB x Mimosa) by a new breeder dirty bird genetics owned by the co founder of NASC which flowered insanely fast and was done in the 3rd week of september outdoor and it has extremely unique apple terps that ive never seen before. they also have one that they backcrossed to mimosa called dirty mimosa and i was talking to a commercial grower that is currently pheno hunting it and they were saying there are multiple phenos of that that are finishing indoor 45-55 days too.
Only people I know had autos and this one is not or seems to not be in flour until I did the 12. I didn’t try till I did lights. She didn’t flip until I did it manually.
My plant is kickin a lot of pistols or white hair in veg Any idea an I did have a hiccup my lights got set back idk how by 3 hours so I don’t kno if it confuzzle an went in a stress idk I just go back in to growing
The first thing you need to know is that with fast flowering ones you need more plants per square meter. Some genetics have a remarkable resistance to pests, as I was able to verify by comparing some Dutch ones with the national ones that I had in the same place. Also they don't need a perfect vpd.
All my slurpicanes from seedsman flipped to flower same tome while on 24 hour lights ,these were bought as fast flower photoperiods so caught me flatfooted
Hey boys got a question for you. So I’ve been growing a couple years now but the problem I’m running into is my plants are getting too big. I do dwc in 5 gallon buckets and every time my plants are bouncing off the top of my tent. Out side of a SCROG how do I keep my plants small with the least amount of work I’m thinking topping but I don’t really wanna cut off that big beautiful top bud, cutting veg down to one or two weeks and possibly wrapping the net pot in burlap to restrict the root ball size. Could you talk a little bit about keeping plants small thanks!
Look into super cropping. Basically you squish the stem a little between your fingers and thumb and then you can bend the stem over which will make your canopy even
If you have a light that will still cover the whole canopy when only 10-12 inches from it, then doing that with the PPFD pro rata, should help to reduce stretching.
@@EpochDesignStudio thats why you are gettiung so much stretch. You need to hang so far away that the plants are reaching. even with all that power.. Is it in a 4x4? I run a 600w pro bar light, I never need to run it on more than 80%. But it fulls my 4x4 wall to wall so I can hang it low and still get the coverage. which keeps the node spacing tighter. I new officiant LED light will pay for its self compared to the 1000w.. Migrow channel is the best place for light reviews and power outputs etc.
100% top your plants if you are struggling with keeping them low . That combined with a shorter veg period and you will definitely have less height if growing the same strain . How long do you veg for usually and how many plants ?
Ran some peanut butter breaths from Humboldt that were fast fems and man they were amazing. Popped 4 and all 4 had the same structure and size. All jumped 200% in flower and just nice nugs and heavy on the peanut butter. The terps are amazing from the rosin press too.
The next great genetic potentials, longer flowering auto. Auto short veg, long flower for bigger bud growth. Custom tuned veg to flower times per strain. Natural flowering triggers hacked or replaced. Manual flowering trigger event inserted for flowering on demand.
Personally flushing is down to the how one feeds. If you do dry backs, then more nutes will be extracted from the substrate. But in coco you would then loose the benefits of keeping it moist at all times. So In that situation I would flush, as my EC will also be higher on my run offs. I use heavy synthetics from advanced nutrients. they give great yield and nice flavour if I flush, but always an after taste if I don't. Growing auto's in coco, so I do push the nutes when I can. but I now taper down. and flush at the end. for best results. Another scenario could be a low vpd thats reduced transpiration rates and caused a build up of unused nutes in the substrate. With many people now using bottom fed systems or but chugging, it makes it harder to take constant ec readings off the run off. I like my leaves to fade with the senescence, which bringing out more colour in the bud and removes the Chlorophyll from the leaves. So flushing helps with thats to.
I think it would be easier to get a perpetual harvest while being able to grow multiple plants in the same area. I'll have to check it out for the science of course.
top44 but its mostly crap but surely will finish below 42-49 days at max. sensi hp 45days , mango or papaya depending on retailer has 7 weeks , burmese kush by th seeds also is veeery quick plus fricking amazing atleast the 1 pheno i flowered out
I have a few grows under my belt from seed. I quit smoking over a year ago and have no connections. I'm looking at autos as a quick way to get some bud so I can grew great bud from seed. No other reason. I won't grow autos after that. A means to an end.
At work Only moms that are older than 25 nodes get clones taken. And only nodes after 25. This helps speed up flower time not just bro science. More Oxytocin. To preserve a clone as a mom we try to take right at the 12th node. Go look up plant morphology in different stages. An auto at 12th node I swear is like a photo at 25. I grow some fast flowers and autos outdoors. Month indoors and 4 outdoors. Not uncommon to see frost into beginning of June and snow snow in Oct. Photos get 2 months indoors. Found I am getting better quality out of smaller plants.
The autos now are a lot more stable. Some look like clones when compared side by side and have more vigor than clones. IMO, nightowl genetics is killing it. I think autos are a little harder to grow than photos. I've grown both, and the learning curve of autos is steep photos. You can fix them with veg time. With the autos, you gotta be on it the first 25ish days. After that, it's smooth sailing with living soil or coco and salts.
When i was growing up in quebec 20-25 years ago we had a strain that was called M39 now i dont know how accurate this info is but it was said that 39 days for that strain. Thats what the biker gangs there were selling
I’m on team pigeons420 on the autoflower stance . Autos are inferior to photoperiod plants in nearly every aspect. Single tent perpetual harvest growers or super northern latitude outdoor growing is the only scenarios that autos would seemingly have an advantage IMO
Autos have taught me how important the first month of growth is. I actually increased yields on my photos. All from paying more attention and care in the first month. I would like to see pigeons do a guerrilla grow with autos. Autos show sex early so we pollinate before putting outdoors. I got an auto just into flower. It trained out nice. 36 days before it showed sex. I lst it then pull back lights to get some stretch in flower. I only have a 2x4 and only 2 foot of height max for veg. Around 440 watts but have next 2 photos vegging and clone collection in veg also. I buy cheap auto seeds from happy bird seeds. We are still growing ultimate purple autos after 3 years. We are gonna run a bunch of different autos this summer in our medicinal.
I wholeheartedly disagree with pigeons on the autos. Growing a auto if you don't know what you're doing it is so easy to stress that plant out cause it to flip super early and be a complete waste. Auto plants are so much more finicky when it comes to water and nutrient inputs. At least with a photo you have time to solve issues while you're still in veg.
Growers harvest early or in some cases snip off a bud or two a lil over five weeks in bloom is because they don’t have stash. In other words, if a grower has stash then he/she will run the plant (even fast finishing ones) 52 days at the minimum. Also, getting more than 13 hours of darkness outdoor will expedite the flowering time by about a week and a half or more. No 🧢 Growmies- 😂

All my slurpicanes from seedsman flipped to flower same tome while on 24 hour lights ,these were bought as fast flower photoperiods so caught me flatfooted
I noticed my controller 69 pro temp rh and vpd readings don't match up to any of the vpd charts I've found online
Jesus pigeons is straight ballin 💰every room he has is insane with expensive tech and shit
I wish ac infinity would restock those humidifiers
@@ru4skuba I ended up buying from a competitor as well 😂. I’ll still buy one of theirs eventually but I needed one asap
Is ok to do cal mag till when I’m flower
We got landraces in South Africa that take 16-18 weeks to flower .
Do have bloom nutes. Not stopped cal mag ok. Sounds gud. Wrote down all inputs.
@@UbiquitousRomp using a 1000w HPS can’t hang it to close to the plants for heat reasons will probably make the switch to LEDs this year.
How do we get stash blend in new Zealand lads?
look fwd to the auto show 😎
Great video!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Stash blends... where to find in Canada?
I love listening to all angels. I just trained trained.
Angles maybe?
The next great genetic potentials, longer flowering auto. Auto short veg, long flower for bigger bud growth.
Custom tuned veg to flower times per strain.
Natural flowering triggers hacked or replaced. Manual flowering trigger event inserted for flowering on demand.
Understand good info.
What up boys!
Watched a friend of mine harvest STRAIGHT PISTOLS 🔫 😂😂😂poor guy i tried to talk him out of it.. he wouldn't listen😢
Sounds gud. The stttaaassshhhhh cool
Autos are like an F1 car, you gotta an experienced driver to get anything out of the car.
When i was growing up in quebec 20-25 years ago we had a strain that was called M39 now i dont know how accurate this info is but it was said that 39 days for that strain. Thats what the biker gangs there were selling
What's the longest time have you let stand 10 20 amber, dead
Seems more rewarding to do long cultivar

I ❤ autos!!!
Hi guys 😊🖖 RQS MILKYWAY F1 QUICK & ALL SEEDS UNIFORM JUST AS IF THEY WERE CUTTINGS
Yes. I thought it be nice to see y’all work cuz. I’m intelligent. Love to be in the garden and they in the bed till 9. Peace.
We are gonna run a bunch of different autos this summer in our medicinal.
got a early iranian that actually looks like its gonna be what it says at 40 days to flower.
I have an ice cream cake by Humboldt that is a fast flower genetic. Currently in flower and almost done I think
I don't like this fast flower tho cuz if u make a mistake you don't have time to fix it
Like you guys
Pigeons you gotta try to have a conversation with Daz
Uhh, Auto,s are great . You can try varieties quickly and find something new you really like.
Black sugar by seedsman 45 -50 days
I wholeheartedly disagree with pigeons on the autos. Growing a auto if you don't know what you're doing it is so easy to stress that plant out cause it to flip super early and be a complete waste. Auto plants are so much more finicky when it comes to water and nutrient inputs. At least with a photo you have time to solve issues while you're still in veg.
Fast flowers. Just find a good auto and cross it to a photo period that you like and boom!
I was inclined to think photo
Growers harvest early or in some cases snip off a bud or two a lil over five weeks in bloom is because they don’t have stash.
In other words, if a grower has stash then he/she will run the plant (even fast finishing ones) 52 days at the minimum.
Also, getting more than 13 hours of darkness outdoor will expedite the flowering time by about a week and a half or more.
No 🧢 Growmies- 😂
These guys know too much sh!t Don’t trust em unless you want bigger, better grows.
Time is time
