Warms my heart to see you camping with your daughter and her friend. My children grew up camping and them we had the joy of taking our grandkids. My husband is gone now and my camping days are over. I want to share that every time I am with my family talk always turns to the wonderful memories made on camping trips.

My Dad passed in '96 when I was on the cusp of 28. That last Summer was our last fishing trip. I think of those times often. Your daughter and her friend will talk about these days long after you've gone to the happy hunting grounds. You're a good Dad, Charlie Brown....I mean...Jay Legere. 🙂

Nice video Jay... that was rabbit droppings. Rabbits normally do that on top of rocks, stumps, an logs so they will have something to eat when the winter set in with snow. I didn't believe it until a conservation office told me while rabbit hunting in Virginia. Enjoy the memories with your daughter man.

Hey Jay when I brake in new footwear, will slide plastic freezer bags down in, fill with water and freeze day or two, it will stretch the leather about a half size, and leave a good fit, happy for you and your daughter having time

Ty I remember when my daughter always had a friend with her and with parents blessings we go fishing etc. My daughter has been raised to fish/ camp etc and is likely a a true survivor lol l brought her up after her mom suddenly died of a dreaded brain anyerium when she was four etc

Breaking in new stiff leather work boots is no fun. Especially when you can buy boots that DON'T hurt when they're new. Been there, done that.... never again! If new boots hurt when I buy them, they imminently go back and I buy something else. New boots ARE NOT supposed to hurt and give you blisters. I don't care what brand they are. They hurt because they don't fit your foot properly. Waiting until they break-in to the point the leather gets soft enough to make the pain go away is not worth it to me. I can buy boots that cause zero pain on day one. Why would I elect to deal with daily foot pain for the next 9 months? lol. Like i said, I did that when I was younger before I knew better.... never again. Hopefully your new boots stop hurting soon, Jay. Great video as always!
I remember taking my daughter many times to our camp 🏕. The first time she caught a pike she shreaked and handed me the fishing rod. Then she would watch me filled pike...she thot it was gross. Then after some time she would fillet the fish herself. I.always found it funny that a girl with nail.polish on her nails was right in there processing pike. She learned some life skills. Now.she is married and lives in.BC.
Curious Jay. How come you’re not charging your Jackery while you are running your Honda inverter? 25% load of your rating on your Honda is 450 watts. After that depending on load it will begin to rev up. Anything under that you are leaving power unused. Keeping the Jackery in use will save a lot of wear on the Honda over the years. Hello Jay I greet you from France. When I watch your videos I always feel like I'm traveling and it's very pleasant. And since I can't walk much anymore and I don't have a family, it's very pleasant. Quick pointer on the bear spray…make sure to be standing upwind (wind at your back), and sweep side to side when pushing the trigger. The bottles won’t last long and you want to have your best shot at deterring a potential attack instead of wasting it. Keep up the great content!!
We used to heat up water all the time for dishes when camping in Montana, Then, we sprung for a paid camp cook who taught us we could cold wash (with soap) first then add a small cap full of bleach in rinse water was enough to sterilize dishes. Saved on propane.

Breaking in Nicks boots is just like breaking in a pair of Whites boots, emerge them in a tub of warm water for 12 hours, pull them out and drain, put them on and wear them till dry, will take a couple 3 days and several pairs of socks but you cut the 3 week break in period to 4 or 5 days, I have 4 pairs of Whites over the years and this method works very well.
Here's a little hint when you go to light your propane stove turn on all the burners & light one on each side, it's easier then trying to light the pilot light. You tube has a great videos on doing maintenance on your generator
