Another Great Video, going through some weight loss work on my 5 ready for next years sprinting ,great ideas, I like the idea of not running a passenger seat for the sprints :-)
It’s an easy job, just 4 bolts and it’s out. You’ll get flashing warning for the seat it’s not a problem but if you don’t like it get a couple of 2.2 ohms resistors and bund them in the connector underneath your seat and that’ll get rid of it.
Just Booked Round 1 at Blyton 14th April, very excited as first competition like thing i have done, Just track days so far :-) hope i selected correct class J09 spec 2 from reading the rules, fingers crossed.@@mx5gaz709
Awesome video mate! I’ve always thought they weighed around 1.1 tonne so to say you’re below that when you’ve got the roll bar and supercharger, you’ve done well to get it below what the original weight is 👌🏻
Hiya Gaz ! Absolutely loving the build. I've not long bought an 06' in the same colour and will be building it up soon. It's already got a few bits done, lowered, dampers, IL motorsport backbox & midpipe etc. Just wondering (apologies if you've mentioned this already elsewhere) where you got your hands on the spoiler + the all-red rear light clusters ? both give the car a lovely look from the back.
Thanks for the comments. Spoiler is from IL motorsport MX5 parts use to sell them not sure if they still do. Rear light is just a film from a place called Lamin X I also have some subtle blue on the headlights. If your on Facebook search for winning blue MX5s and join us there I’m one of the 3 admins. 👍
