Hey marc hope you are well, I have a question, at home i have an ecm tecknika profi (amazing!) My mom just bought the gaggia cadorna prestige. I cant help but feel that the automatic machine ( even with all the perameters that i tried to change and use) can't reach the same levels at all as my machine (same beans btw). How do i get a good cup of tasty sweet coffee from a super automatic or at least something that tastes really good. Mostly i drink americanos She drinks lattes. Thanks for the help!
Hi dcds, thanks for sharing thoughts on your ECM! Semi automatic machines are capable of higher quality than super autos like the Cadorna. You give up a bit in potential quality for convenience. For best results with super automatics I suggest setting grinder to its finest setting and set strength to high which gets you highest possible coffee dose. If either is too much you can always back off. Also uses the highest temperature setting. Hope that helps! Marv
Hey MS, thanks for the question. If new beans are at a similar roast level it's unlikely it will need to readjust. The big changes happen with changes in bean density. Lighter roast are denser than darker roasts. Marc
A great in-depth review as always . Very much appreciated .
Thanks for the comment!

@@Wholelattelovepage thank you so much for your answer marc, I'll definitely give that a try🙏😊
If you switch out to a new bag or a different bag of beans dose the grinder have to re adjust and need to run a couple of test shots?
