And the infamous "lavender town tones" (the ringing) in the original Red and Green are 8kHZ, 11kHZ, and 14kHZ, with all being audible to the average person mid-40s and younger, and the first two being audible to most people, even senior citizens. It gave me a real lesson on how powerful the power of suggestion is and how easily I could use that to my advantage to create atmospheric Halloween settings.

So, not having any wierd experience does indicate that it is likely fake and is definitely not a baseless statement. Ofcourse this requires more than one tester.

I actually can still hear all of these frequencies as an adult. I have much better ears than most people though, and very poor eyesight. The most those high frequencies ever did to me is bother my ears a little bit if blasting it at maximum volume through headphones. It's completely fine if I turn it down a notch, and this is probably my favorite pokemon melody ever. I can actually lull myself to sleep with this.
