www.vogue.com/article/timothee-chalamet-met-gala-2021-haider-ackermann The installation, which debuted as a livestream on Chalamet’s Instagram page, was envisioned by JR (who typically specializes in large-scale photo installations). It began with Chalamet sitting on a bench in the Frick museum, then followed him as Chalamet tore through a black and white American flag, then explored other rooms of the museum. “We enter in an American flag, to find a place, an identity, a position, a future, between the stripes and the stars,” says JR. “To get to the end, we need to confront our rifts, our flaws, those of our nation, of our family and our own cracks which have been amplified by two years of loneliness, anger, fear, confrontation.” Britell, meanwhile, provided soundscapes. “Our hope was to create a piece which sonically tapped into the mystery of the process within textile and fashion arts,” says Britell. The installation ended with Chalamet and JR walking 10 blocks to the Met Gala from the Frick, during which Chalamet was hounded by surprised fans who got a sneak peek at his red carpet ensemble. Reflecting on their collaboration tonight, Ackermann says working with Chalamet on their red carpet moments always makes for a memorable end result. They see fashion as an artistic medium for much, much more. “The exchanges we share, the conversations, the mutual respect, and brotherhood permits us to operate in a vast playing field,” says Ackermann. “This freedom has enabled us to constantly challenge the traditional ideals of masculinity. Timothée’s courage and fearlessness in his beliefs makes him a writer of a new generation.”

Why would a blm protest start out?
The end was painful to watch. Poor guy. I hope the fame is worth having to deal with these vultures.
Wow being a celebrity must be so suffocating. I don’t how care how fat that paycheck is. I value my privacy over anything.

The installation, which debuted as a livestream on Chalamet’s Instagram page, was envisioned by JR (who typically specializes in large-scale photo installations).
This one brunette girl at the end, with the little bag and the light jeans was so annoying. She ran infront of him, taking videos and photos and didn't even asked. I hate fand like that
wait.. this is.. beautiful?
I would've laughed.
what did they think was gonna happen just throwing timmy tim into the streets like that
You didn t understand the meaning of the video.
@@blandinea.2703 They’re literally just pointing out that this was poorly planned. He was walking into the met gala where there are going to be tons of fans and papparazi and they bring basically nothing to stop them. That has nothing to do with the point of the video, her comment was literally just about security.
i need to hear them talk about the point of this. was it to show real art that should be looked at vs what we look at today, a commentary on celebrity etc…. did they expect the fans reaction and that was the point or was that an unfortunate side effect that ruined this beautiful art piece……
I think those questions are a part of the experience itself. As much as I want to know the answers myself, I wouldn’t be surprised if they never give them.
He had an entrance planned with a marching band but it didn’t work out because of the mob.
@@pposiful9717 orly? where did you find that info? i haven’t seen that …. what a bummer damn
@@sammysoppy3361 There was a photo of them lined up waiting for him outside, I’m pretty sure that’s what the live was for. It just really sucks because he was probably looking forward to it.
